A pack of these, which I'd not seen before, I think they're new? Will come in handy next time I do an expensive vintage body.

Yes, I had to check the model numbers - and sure enough that attention to detail is epic from Truck Norris!

My ‘Eek! I haven’t got enough black!’ £5.99 can of PS-5 arrived. Only ordered it yesterday! It wasn’t due until Thursday/ Friday.

Euro Car Parts on eBay if anyone needs paint in a (relative) hurry.

The Escort and BMW

I think I'll scan them onto masking paper and keep these.

On the last set I got, I had to sand pistons a bit.

For about the same price as Tamiya's mini CVA, I'll take these aluminum shocks.

I neglected to mention this incredibly lovely 3D-printed wing mount arrived recently, courtesy of the incomparable @speedy_w_beans:

This will take a place of pride on my Ferrari 312T3 build, once I return to town. In the meantime, I am admiring the pictures - he really did such a spectacular job designing and painting it, and it is quite sturdy, too. Fine intricate assemblies like this are part of the reason I fell in love with static modelling, but this is a job far beyond anything I could manage, yet I am lucky enough to be the owner of this

Couple of bits and bobs for the start of the outdoor season, and more FTX Mauler wheels (do like those, the look and the price!) for a project in my head....🤯😬

They look like fluorine or teflon coated. Are they?

You obviously like them since its your second set. Do you like that they're orange or do they perform well? How do they compare to TRF dampers? They are about half the price of TRF dampers aren't they?

I didn't even think about that until you asked.  It says "titanium coated."  And that is the same color as the pinion gear I have.  That explains why the gear surface is hard!!  Thank you for asking, Nicadraus. I think I learned 2 things from your question!

My goodness. That's brilliant!  It never occurred to me to compare.  Judging by parts, I think this set might be a cheaper copy of TRF short!!  ($25 vs $45)  I'm sure Yeah Racing will disagree because they have the "rebound core system."

[I left the oil out of the photo, but a 15ml bottle of 300cst oil is included]

The pistons fit perfectly in the cylinder. But they are very tight on the shaft.  Instead of forcing the piston on the shaft, I widened the hole with a drill bit last time.  I don't know if this is a new batch. But one piston I tried fit better than the last set.

Once they are built, they perform about the same as CVA mini, if not better.  I don't have TRF to compare, orange.  I'm sure the fit is perfect on TRF shocks, orange.  For experienced builders, these might be acceptable, considering the price.  I know I'm forgetting something here, orange... Oh, I know, I might be a bit biased by the color.

Of course its because they're orange, thanks @Juggular it sounds like they're worth trying. I don't even knoe why I'm asking since no new onroad cars are on my horizon (although I did have a crazy idea of converting my TA07 to carbon chassis and building Jamie a TA07 out of parts but its cheaper to buy him a TA07 Pro than the bits, but these shocks would work for that).

I did receive stuff from the postie though, parts bag A and 2 sets of A parts for TT02B. My 2 long suffering TT02B's are getting new front ends. I'm going to try to get some aluminium tube as well and drill the arms and glue the tube in as a liner. The arms are knackered too, and a $4 piece of aluminium seems like a better bet than 4 new arms which will end up with oval holes again

Yeah well spotted, the better half wants a pink Unimog so I’m getting some bits to make it. I might get the purple bumper too but uncertain on how effective it will be, or if it’s even needed as I doubt she’ll ever drive it. Would like the ‘white style’ cva’s but they seem to be be very rare.

A new arm for my TT02 thanks to @Superluminal, he very kindly responded to my wanted add and helped me out for free, top dude!

And an apology from the Post Office for damaging the envelope and holding it ransom for a couple of weeks. Perhaps I should tap them up for the £100 he sent with it

White cva are standard on the TT02B Neo Scorcher. I don't k ow what length shocks you need for the CW01 though.

All the way from Germany, it’s totally unused but the previous owner had used proper window tinting film on all the back windows & black band-aid type material on the arches... All removed now though & sitting on an M05 chassis;

Also took a random punt on a Monster Racer thinking it was a rolling chassis, turns out there was a shed load of parts included including some original unused tyres 2 period radio sets & loads of spare sprues
