The TRF503 build is getting closer to beginning. Shims and an alloy steering linkage system from 3Racing for it.

A bag of ball ends for the MTA4 S50 and a set of CVD's for the DT03

Good times ahead. :)

Front and rear Schumacher Green Mini Spike tyres for the TT-02B, a Talon wing and Absima wing washers for the DT-03 as I'd ruined the original at the weekend... Surprising how far a buggy will pirouette after grip rolling at speed!

The twins arrived! :D

m61Xj7e.jpg

Left bear has a very good chassis and plastics. Bodyshell is ok.

Right bear has a great and complete bodyshell. Chassis is bad.

The extra tire set is very good for its age. Not too dry, no cracks or damage. These will go onto the bear I'm restoring to original.

So, overall a great haul for parts and the potential for a 2nd original bear. I still have a used gear set somewhere! And other spares...

Postman brought me a new battery for my laptop :D I heard and felt it go "boom".

Lithium batteries -- what fun!

Some lovely scale chassis hardware (M3 size) from Locked-Up RC:

Of course most of it won't be seen once the body is fitted to Cilla...

Now, that's a cake Mr. Tamiya would be impressed with.

I can't bake a cake, but I made a pizza doe for the first time in my life today.  It was sour. I should've let it rise more...

Roses arrived for a neighbor. We are just safekeeping...(that sounds like we've stolen them, but no. She's with her daughter, we are looking after her mail. We called her, she asked us to open it and water them. My wife took photos and sent it to the neighbor. By the time she comes back, most will bloom.)

I've been wondering about that myself.

1:1 had it.  I wonder if that prevented the hood from popping up?

Received a Toyota TS050 shell today.  It'll take the place of a Nissan GTR LM Nismo shell in another F103GT kit.

I think it may be to deflect wind away from the wipers so at speed they work. Seem to think Ive seen something like this somewhere else

I think it was multi purpose - to deflect wind so the wiper stayed on the glass at high speed, but also to deflect stones bearing in mind they had the old tempered glass back then.

Dashing!

I admit I then got slightly distracted from my wheel-arch widening to check the dash and bulkhead would fit in front of the gearbox. It does!
