The "Postman Brought Me" Thread

Recommended Posts

Got my first of many things for my CR-01 today in the HB Sedona tyres.

I cannot believe how big these things are

Scorcher wheels & rear tyres from Tony, so I can now use the Alloy rim covers I got months ago for the Wild One.

Couple of bits of carbon niceness from fibrelyte and the final thing for my TT02 Type S

20200117_175105

Battery posts mean i can finally run the TT02, which is great. Seeing as i was paying postage from fibrelyte i couldn't resist the centre brace for 6 quid.

The big piece is a top deck for my TA06. Inspired by the piece on my TT02 i designed a similar top deck to augment the plastic tub on my TA06. Fingers crossed for fitting!

Postie dropped these two off yesterday! The GT tuned motor is a used but in really good condition and my idea was to put it in my egress after I put bearings in it! I watched someone test one with and without and you can really see the difference so I thought "I'm going to give that a go!" The MCI decals I'm not so sure don't really know if the colour combo is to my liking the jury's out on them?

Got this for Christmas from my amazing wife, but just posting it now. I love the RC version, but I'm hoping to make a smaller replica using this static kit.

We took my sons CR-01 to the park on Sunday, we had over an hour from a 4000MAH Lipo!
Amazing how many Dads come up and ask where they can get one, and how father Christmas brought there kids one that is rubbish!

Postman delivered this today! Thought it would look quite cool and probably go well in my top cat so I took a punt on it ? But I'm not a winter basher so its going to have to wait until the better weather arrives^_^ because I'm still in hibernation!

10.5T motor from Hong Kong in 5 days free postage!!!!

Hobbywing 10BL 120 sensored esc for above ( works with the crawler programe card, so no coloured lights for me)

5 x 1 metre of 14awg wires so that the original 13.5T Blue motor can be installed in the Asterion instead of the TT02-S yet to be built. Just waiting for extra long sensor cable.

Postman brought me a unused and almost complete Dirt Thrasher. Just some minor bits are missing, like one wheel nut. Shell is unpainted but needs some rework because of not so good cutting. Not sure if I will paint it box art PS-1. Maybe pearl white or some kind of silver.

Some damper mounts for the rear end of my trail rig. They will allow for quite a range of adjustment.

Hoping the mounting holes line up with my chassis!

I feel odd about odd numbered wheels...

but 3 wheels should enough to drive around the kitchen table (which has even-4 legs).

EeK2drZ.jpg

This was an impulse buy.

My box of bearings didn't contain some of the weird bearings like 6x10x3mm. They will take weeks to be delivered from China. :(

Please do a build of this. Something about these intrigues me. Ive often been tempted by a Kamtec Reliant Supervan in yellow:D Have you tried RCbearings in the UK? may not be cheaper but a lot quicker?
