The "Postman Brought Me" Thread

Recommended Posts

I was pretty intrigued when Tamiya announced this.  Glad I bought one; it looks like they did a great job on the body.

Good pick up. I think this is a great model! I plan on picking one up myself. Can’t wait to see your work completed.

I'm hoping to pick up the bodyset on its own at some point - I have a M-04L that would suit this nicely.

Gotta heap for stuff for the XV01 but sadly no kit to put them on as the buyer pulled the sale as they had no stock

I Love my XV-01. Great car. Looks like you have all the same hop ups I have. Have you decided on what shocks you will use?

I thought all the short belts were this kind? I didn't think they did a regular one for the shortened chassis, could be wrong? Check the part # in your manual...

the thing is the beld is not in the manual  with a part number so I do not know if they are the same, but even when it is the short belds are nowhere to be found. and I only payed 11 euro for it.

I sold a blue and a red aramid belt NIP for a TA03 for a dollar each a couple of years ago.

Some new tyres for my Jimny.

Lord I hate mounting 1.55 tires on beadlock rims. Still one of them isn't correct, but I'm not sure I can be asked to take it apart again to see if it will seat better.

Now the spare wheel doesn't match, looks like I'm going to have to buy more!

Nice box arrived yesterday from Japan - now in 'quarantine, but hopefully I'll find this NIB kit inside when I open it up in a day or two...

Some Kyosho micron tape turned up out the blue. Completely forgot that Id ordered it.

The reason being I placed the order on the 4th of April last year and it was a back order item. Over a year!!!

Sometimes spares distribution and stock in this hobby is diabolical for parts that are in the current product lineup.

Like the Egress front damper pistons that were on back order from september last year didnt arrive until late march this year.

New chassis for my original Boomerang. Its a re-re chassis but is still stamped Tamiya and at least its original Tamiya. Also 2 drive shafts for the Boomer as well.

Still waiting on the 5mm ball sockets, rear wishbones and some rubber sealed bearings then the rest can begin.
