I had an ebay purchase earlier and after 4 weeks, seller said it's still in Japan. I had to get a refund (after seller recalled it). I'd avoid Japan for now. HK ships okay. Had rcmart ordered, arrived "normal" for slow boat (3 weeks).
moffman 5752 Posted May 11, 2020 I think the world is on hold especially the far east I'm just ordering from places that may not be the cheapest but are reliable (modelsport, Tony tamiya parts etc ) although they can be competitive and modelsport are out of stock practically anything tamiya but far east at the moment is a big no no! Subaru WRC Colin McRae decals from MCI for my XV01 build Some Square RC bits from Germany...graphite upper deck for my TT01E build, titanium hex screws and coloured rosette washers to add a bit of colour detail to my recent DF03 build body options And finally a couple of these blue servo saver caps, one for the future and the other to again add a finishing touch to my DF03

ChrisRx718 4470 Posted May 12, 2020 I was looking at the Square TT01E Upper Deck, but the price really put me off! Madness for what you get. I also saw those servo saver caps but my thirst for blue shiny bits was already quenched with screws which were completely unnecessary!

Oh, it's definitely a bit on the expensive side, but some Hobby Maths helped to justify it. It was something like: (((Cost of screws + cost of washers + cost of servo caps) - (Savings vs buying on eBay)) + (p&p / additional cost of TT01e deck spreading p&p over additional item) x coefficient of X where X = general unease at C-19 situation requiring cheering up with overpriced car parts = GO FOR IT!

junkmunki 846 Posted May 12, 2020 The FEDEX man came today and dropped off the Vintage Lotus 79 body set i ordered from Japan. This is one of the releases from 2001 which are strictly identical to the original from 1979, with the hard body and clear lexan practice body. It cost a bit to get it, but one of my original 79s is too damaged to restore. Se la vie. J

catman79 346 Posted May 12, 2020 Well not exactly a postman delivery but I picked this up for free on gumtree today, the cabinet, not the car! So at last I can get my small collection out of the loft and on display! It’s only allowed in the spare room at the mo, but it’s a start! Apologies for the picture, it only wants to upload on its side!!
JeffSpicoli 1363 Posted May 12, 2020 Lightning fast shipping! Now to decide on paint scheme for this surfboard, fits much better than the HiLux surfboard.
