Busdriver 6209 Posted August 22, 2020 20 hours ago, Busdriver said: Not strictly today but these two arrived recently. The first is a 1/24th crawler for a bit of fun in the garden. Going to build a little course for it. The other is some UJ's for my tt02. Now going to rebuild it with 10.5 Bluebottle. Fitted the UJ’s and put the 10.5 bluebottle back in. Forgotten what the FDR is without checking but on a nimh it’s seriously quick. Accelerates like a rocket. Need to get down to the tennis courts for a real run+ I need to redo the cables as it had been in a Blitzer so everything is too long

Blista 1519 Posted August 23, 2020 Came to the conclusion that a new crawler isn't feasible for the near future, so I felt free to get a couple of other things. A pre-painted Yaris body for the XV01. It costs more than a unpainted one but being the middle of winter I'm not doing any painting for a few months. By the time you factor in paint and tape I think it works out quite well. Not to mention that since I haven't put several hours into masking and painting I'm going to feel way more comfortable thrashing around with it. I also picked up another Idemitsu Civic sticker sheet. I should just contact the seller and ask how many more he's got instead of buying them one by one.
OldSchoolRC1 983 Posted August 24, 2020 The postman hasn't brought it yet, but I'm told my TC-01 has finally shipped! Can't wait to see this kit in person...
metalheadDad 119 Posted August 25, 2020 Technically I bought this from a local Tamiya fan, NIB. Goes well with the Hotshot I'm building.
ThunderDragonCy 7878 Posted August 25, 2020 The postman hated me today! Back from hols so had a couple of parcels waiting for me. I ordered a couple of FF01s on a whim a few weeks back, getting caught up in the FF01 hype on The Builds forum. They arrived today. One well used hopped up, one shelfer. Was hoping to make one good car out of both, but both have cravked gearboxes (shelfer worse than the FRP chassis anmoyingly) and i have realised i am just not in the mood for a resto job and tracking down parts right now, so both are straight up for sale. However, i am excited about the otherbox that turned up My first scaler! A Carisma F150. I know its not Tamiya and it's RTR, but it's Tamiyas fault. If thry hadn't brought out the CC02 with that god-awful Merc box on it i would have gonefor that. Plus, i love Fords!
A-Baum 352 Posted August 25, 2020 I got a handful of parts for my Frog restore. Bought a roller off ebay with no body, busted gear(s), and a few missing parts. Got in a new body/wing, bearings, spur gear set, and white spray paint as well as paint for the driver. Discovered the rear arms are hairline cracked so I ordered the C parts tree. jonboy1 2943 Posted August 26, 2020 (edited) Got a nice little haul of Dream-build Durga-Drivetrain components from Modelsport last night: A very lovely brushless motor A very lovely servo A very capable lipo Also got another lesser spec servo for my twinni-M03/4 Details of the Durga bits will be updated on the build thread soon! edit: will have to hold fire on the the build update actually - just realised they sent the wrong servo Edited August 26, 2020 by jonboy1
yogi-bear 2321 Posted August 26, 2020 scale set of windscreen wipers, happy enough with them that I've now ordered another 3. and a Delorean body. I'm not really fussed on the stickers that came with it, but the body itself is well formed with lots of detail. The plan being one day to scratch build the chassis, 3D print the nose and tail, maybe opening doors, but that's a lot work, so we'll see.

stuhas 269 Posted August 26, 2020 A couple of things turned up today mostly for my Kamtec Bowler body, the wing mirror set and the wipers and one of the drivers (not decided which one yet) and some stickers. Some .7 and .4 body line tape for the VW Kharmann Ghia and some Black hex top screws.
Aerobert 2144 Posted August 26, 2020 This TA03-F Audi A4 which I've bought from a classified site for a good price was delivered today. The car seems to be in a good condition, the body have some cracks and scratches but is overall in a not so bad condition. Included was also a 40 mHz Sanwa Seven Ace and some old stickers, small catalogues and so on. Will get a good cleaning and inspection. Not sure what to do with the body, as many new bodies are currently not available.
TurnipJF 9192 Posted August 26, 2020 Some metal bits to bring my 2nd DT-02 up to Sand Viper spec: (It started life as a Super Fighter GR.)
Juhunio 6830 Posted August 26, 2020 Very chuffed with this eBay purchase It was sold as built but never run, and is absolutely immaculate apart from a bit of Smoke damage on the shell, which I reckon I can deal with through a combination of Tamiya polycarbonate cleaner and patience If I end up being super fussy, I might redo some of the stickers But other than that it's perfect. Took it to bits today, cleaned the old grease off the suspension mounts and universals and bagged it up as per the manual ready for a rebuild with electronics It also came with a few bonus 'as new' hop ups, which might come in handy!

Thats right, they had those massive plastic drive cups and dogbones. I was just looking at pics of my old sand viper and Super fighter and reminising... great buggies considering how much I paid for them Today this Alfa shell turned up from Tonys Tamiya Parts, the other bits from elsewhere
