Great choices!

Thank you Mate!! The Silver is going to back the Purple first, then Black, including Black Trim. I want it to be more of a Plum, but not so DARK.

Should look good against the Silver full length Stripes too! 😉

Nice looking set👍

Any idea what the motor limit is for the combined esc/receiver?

And where did you get it?

I got it from eBay Japan. It was only £76 that’s with Tamiya servo tok

The recommended limit is 25turns and over
It’s a very nice  item. Just one small niggle, it comes with an inline fuse on the battery wire which it does not show on the pics. I plan to run it with the Avante  25t special edition motor but I doubt it will get run much . Imo Avantes are more suitable for display really .

Two crappy grasshoppers. Probably going to sell one as they are both in pretty OK shape and keep one for myself.

This was in the mail today. Took me longer to find it than to wait out the shipping!

I was after a 17.5T sensored brushless motor and I wanted it to be orange. It proved to be quite hard to source, as most distributors seemed to be out of stock.

Found this one eventually on the bay for a doable price.

No clue about the brand, but I'm very pleased with the color and the number of turns (after getting a bit mad when reading 10.5 on the box ahah).

Having seen how well a generic bluebottle performs, I have good expectations about this one too (won't be disappointed hopefully )

Box 2 of 2 arrived today thankfully that I’d ordered for the same place as the Knight Hauler thinking that it would be a safer bet. Still better late than never.

GT5 Transmitter, channel 4 has 3 positions so I optimistic it will operate the Transmission.
And the GT Power light and sound module because they can run LiPo and be programmed via phone Bluetooth.

I'm looking forward to this project, I can live vicariously. I'd really like the build but I lnow how expensive they are so its unlikely to happen for me for a while.

You also could've gotten this:

Well-known brand and not that expensive.

Let me know how you get on with the Flash; I've never heard of the brand either.

An opportunity presented it self so it was now or never for a Truck kit.

I was booked on a Adventure M/cycle trip back in March that I had to pull out of  not for C19 but I’d put my back out so unfortunately had to cancel it. And without any other holidays on the horizon I consider this build a Staycation instead 😀
I always looked at them as expensive to, but when you see the size of the box and all it’s contents they seem more like good value for money especially if you’re after the build experience. It will take some time to complete which is why I’m in 2 minds about an actual build thread, but never say never 😉

As Toyolien says, “I’ve got a Birthday sometime this year so why not? 😆

I know, I saw it but this time I wanted to work with the ESC I already have in order to limit expenses and further accumulation of parts.

Plus, I already had one or two parcels on their way from RCmart so it would have felt a bit counterintuitive to get a third going 😬

About the brand, after a lot of researching I started getting the feeling than many of these motors are exactly the same thing with a different name printed on the can, kinda like the bluebottles. There's quite a few of these unknown mini-brands like Flash around, most of which showing pretty much the exact same motor layout.

Anyway, I'll soon be able to let you know how it is.

A small diversion from RC. A couple of Christmas presents for the family  - hopefully developing some building, weathering and soldering skills I can then deploy on my JK Jeep.  1:48 scale shops so I can have a go at a Lemax-style Christmas display.

I received a box for the XV01LDS:

And a slightly bigger box for the imaginary M06 that I don't yet have  (...what was I thinking?):

From which seller did you buy? Was it packed well?

Thank you very much.

so i am finally no longer a fraud on this forum!, i have something tamiya at last.  my iconic cup project arrived finally today from the usa.. for the first time in a very long time i didnt get hit with import tax, so it cost me just over £100 delivered.

comes with an interesting muscle car body and wheels, which look super cool but not what i need so ill probably list these for sale soon. anyway, build / restoration thread coming soon!

RCJaz came up trumps again, screw sets for the Ms and FF, and a few other M-bits-&-M-bobs. They were a bit slow with the packing which took over a week, but upgraded my delivery to Fedex (unprompted) so it shipped Friday and arrived today. Nice!

Nice looking chassis that!

The wheels and tyres look like HPI Vintage, are the rears wider than fronts? Looks like it from the pics but could be an optical illusion!

This thing is Maahoosive and seems really well put together. As well as the Raptor are 2 x 3S lipos and a charge lead for my charger. Once I have given it a run I will give some feedback. Question is where as non Mr T?
