The "Postman Brought Me" Thread

Picked up a NiB TXT1, even the little box full of hardware is still original sealed. Love how the photo is wrapped round the edge, as if the truck is almost too big for the box :D

i got this in today, its either going to be a spare ESC or go on my TT02 depending on what the gremlins did to my TBLE02S... the current ESC may still be good in race mode but tests can only prove that at the moment. im happy the HW1060 is a smaller dimension, the current one has a few MM of space between the servo and motor and the motor wire is sometimes close to the esc vanes as it is. im not crazy about the small on/off switch with the HW1060 but i cant complain as long as it works and is compact..

i will need to test/determine what to do with the new ESC after a mornings' sleep as my mind isnt up to the details of programming the ESC and radio settings.

2 days ago i got my HW1060 in and retested the first ESC i  put on my TT02, the TBLE-02S had a few gremlins so i went and installed the HW1060 onto it and it works when bench tested. havent taken a run with the new ESC yet but i still dont like the 20%??? default brake setting but my controller doesnt have a function to change that brake setting.

today i got a 1:10 shell in from RC mart. it was in good condition but it wasnt all roses... there was no serious damage to the shell but some minor creases that show on the driver side half of them can be cut out ie wheel wells others cant... im going toe paint this body black so im not too worried. im not sure what to do with the plastic tail light assembly pieces. the from headlight are a no brainer but im not sure about the back. do i cut out the lexan to fit them or what??? never had to attempt body mods on a shell. drilling/dremel holes for parts sure i can do that but adding plastic bits for details are new to me. it looks more like i need to make 2-3 holes for the screws or cut out he shape exactly for the raised surface form...

@svenb I saw that and almost bid on it! Cool and interesting motor. Glad you won it. I thought it had something to do with Tamiya—had Carson on it. And didn’t Team Orion make the Transpeed?

Careful many knock off products out there. There’s complete RC light kits at Aliexpress that has very similar look to it , large blue and red decal with two white stars. Description says Tamiya light kit blah blah but it’s just generic unbranded wannabe. I believe someone here bought it in this thread a month or two ago.

Agreed

I did my research on it before I bid and from the very limited pictures on the net of these motors everything checked out 👍

I would have thought if someone had gone to the effort of making a copy sticker for there will a lot more "copy" motors out there.

On my bodyshell with light fittings, I just masked the lights so they were clear and glued the fittings on the inside of the shell. I only had lexan clear light fittings, yours look better but may fit the same. The holes look like they are for the led lights with the clips to hold them in.

Metallic orange, lime green and gunmetal for the Kei truck. The gunmetal is for the wheels, can’t decide which of the other two to use on the body. Also two 2s lipos, 2 sets of medium compound m chassis tyres and a set of mini cva dampers which should have been for the Escort until I just found out I need super minis. Hey ho e mail sent to Joanne at fusion for a discount code😩C22294E1-CF16-46F6-852A-C5C4DBAADC10.jpeg.064877ba4633b2b08f2866be51875fee.jpeg
