Where did you get the Celica from ?

Its a more generic body, so the rear wing is also vac formed, but so are the headlights, so there is opportunity to put LEDs in them.

there is one left, check out this eBay store, he is in country NSW, has some interesting stuff too,

Looks like the same bloke @Re-Bugged mentioned in my TT-02 post, that he got his MK1 body from.

Think my budget has been well and truly spent for this month, so will have to just keep tabs on it. Be keen to see how the Celica looks once painted.

it is indeed, and I had my eye on that very same MK1 body, but was too slow to pull the trigger. That guy also had a Celica 1600 that looked quite good too but I was also too late on that one

The one I bought will be painted up one day, but at the moment I am very slow getting anything RC done, too much work on.

Yesterday I received the metal hex converters and metal front axles. It came with a new set of bearings which I used as spacers as these hexes don’t slide on as far as the original set that I bought. Today I received the metal back axle upgrade. Looks amazing 🤩 69C9DAB0-64CE-4C9E-B260-18DA7F6970E1.jpeg.be62a8a5869bcbffac4df256307eae30.jpeg

Had to pop into the office this afternoon. Haven’t been there since before Christmas.

Unfortunately, the wing set for the 934 hasn’t arrived. First time I’ve had something go missing fromRCMart, ordered on 16/12.

The very nice postman brought me some goodies. A 10.5t motor, esc, servo and body for the new build.

Mate, sorry, now I feel bad. I did see someone else selling the MK1 but was nearly double what Two Keys was selling them for with the postage ($130!!). It’s a nice shell but probably not that nice to warrant paying over the odds for. I dare say there will be another run of them though as they seem to be popular.

Anyway @Badcrumble has restored balance in the universe by buying the Super Mini Shocks before me that I need for my M-05 😉

all good, first come, first serve and I don't really need it      Two Keys has some good prices too and I see he now has the De Lorean cheaper than what I paid for it!  I am hoping he gets some more of the Celica 1600 bodies in though.

Not really exciting, just some Blue, Yellow and Orange silicone wire so as I can make long enough motor leads for the bluebottle 13.5 that is going in my XV01 matched to a TLBE02s, just need a longe sensor wire now

Lightweight wheels.

Best Tamiya wheels ever? Hmmm debatable, but they were a reasonable price for a change, and definitely gonna look good on my Avante. If i can ever find the time to rebuild it

hobao dc1 crawler kit, the kit is really nice for what it cost about the same as a cc-02, but you get full ball bearings alloy chassis, steel transmission gears, 2 speed gearbox, alloy shocks  and a nice body with lot of parts,  very good quality and the car is a lot bigger then a cc-02, sorry mr T but this one is nicer for the money.

not an RC but i would love it if it was possible to RC control its movements. the box was bigger than i expected from the usual 1:100 boxes and box size was comparable to an RC body even though the robot is 6-7 inches tall. it is one of my main hobbies before i got an RC. i did buy some RC stuff today, a bag with 6 size 4 flat washers and im looking into seeing if i can find some 15mm screws/bolts for a possible top shock mount to be secured with a lock nut.

Man, I wish I found things like that when I go into the office! Last time I went I found a mouldy coffee cup and a whole heap of aggro waiting! ;)

Postie kindly dropped off a new Skyrc battery charger, waiting on some servos, then I need to buy some new radio gear. All mine is hidden away in my container, hopefully I'll get to find it all in the summer so I can get back into RC properly again and finish off or start some long-term projects. I've really missed my man cave and need it back! Coming soon I hope!
