This kit has been such a strange release. We all craved it for years and every other person who got one immediately sold it . I can’t understand it . I almost sold mine but something made me change my mind and I’m glad as I am now intending to race it on Astro at coastal rc club. I have some big bore Tamiya dampers for it . I should really buy another kit for spares . You interested in a trade for rere egress/ 2001 and super astute?

Didn't and won't sell my one other than my egress and avante it's a one I've wanted re-released for years

I was excited when i first ordered it but after months of delays i really dont care much. I even have lots of upgrades such as ceramic diff balls, lots of aluminum upgrades and tamiya manta ray aluminum motor mount that was all Purchased months ago too. My wife has convinced me to keep for now and possibly build it in the winter. I wouldnt trade for it, i have an egress and had an astute as a kid which wasnt a great car other than looks.

This beauty from Fusion :)

Also received the wrong tweezers. I already have a set, and Joanne doesn't want me to send them back, so I'm going to put them in the 'Pay it Forward' thread :)

upload a pic with that!?

Go to the Play Store or whatever you use and get a photo editor which can be used for compressing photos. I use Lit Photo for example but there are many more.

Wow! After seeing this pic I was compelled to look up the name for a group of unicorns (it's called a blessing). Enjoy those buggies!

Just a few bits and pieces over a week or so. My SRB servo died near where I got the original so picked up another Hi-Tec Mighty Mini (not shown as it’s fitted already) tin of PS black and a spare Torque Tuned. 2 trusty Power HD servos from elsewhere & a set of HPI Vintage Tyres for the MK1 Escort wheels.

Got this little piece of late tamiya history wasn't cheap but just had to have it for my egress so the super stock RR will go in my super astute and the sport tuned will go in the monster beetle! Keep me busy for few hours

A pile of f1 parts and a few things for some other projects and repairs. Thanks to work/health/weather I haven’t been able to run anything in what feels like forever, but has given me time to work on them (and spend way more $$ than I should

Couldn''t agree more, @moffman it's a proper dream come true for me. Seeing as I've probably got a diagnosis or two I'm thinking of picking up a couple more when Tamico gets their second shipment.
I know I should've built one by now, but all my allotted RC-time get's spent on the track or doing repairs. But it's a build I'm really looking forward to!

+ holy hadron collider, they look stunning!

Thank you! The one in the background was a very well used and debatable if it was a genuine evolution topforce it had a load of odd bits and two rear hi-cap shocks the front was different manufacturers so I put them on Ebay and the money I got for them I bought  the new topforce hi-cap shock set! but it has the ball diffs and one way baring grey ball connectors and original orange wheels the top chassis plate was missing and it was unbelievably dirty and I've spent an absolute fortune on it probably a lot more than it will ever be worth! But I just loved chasing the parts and this was obviously done way before any of the topforce re-releases appeared!

Oh man, that's some proper wizardry to get it to that shape and a testament to your skills! And I absolutely understand the love of the chase and seeing it all come together. And some things are probably not worth it if one's just thinking of the numerical value, but I bet the joy of having it reach that state was priceless! And you can't put a price on that. I've sent old Garrard turntables and Quad turntables across the pond to ex-BBC-technicians just to have them fettle with them. I'll never recoup the money should I sell, but the satisfaction it gives me to have them restored to factory spec and knowing that everything is just so is measured in anything but monetary value.

Since you've got them both, which is your favourite? And, when you drive them, is there any difference?

Forgive my ignorance but I've just had to look up garrard turntable because I didn't know what they were? And now I do even more ignorant of me is I have a work colleague that I've known for 30+ years who all my working life with him he's been heavily into such items so I should have really known what they are😕 regarding the two topforce or are they pronounced topforce's?......anyway I think they are much of the same if anything the older evolution is a bit smoother but that could be because the shock springs are softer and the diffs are more bedded in?  the evo is a lot tighter and your right if you have a passion for something monetary value shouldn't come into the equation!

Bit of advice when you build your evo! The instructions tell you to use the shock spacers instead of the adjustable collars they don't even mention them but they are in the kit you just don't get the specific screws for them in the kit my advice would be get four screws to fit them as they are much better than the crude spacers?

got this 2 days ago but didnt have time to post it, Tamiya JIS phillips 2x8mm screws and 3 others of some hex head i have yet to figure out. tried metric/standard allen keys and they dont seem to fit, maybe some weird JIS standard head is on them.  8 tamiya JIS and 3 hex heads. the ball swivels can be used for my slash when stuff wears out with time. got these parts from Micheals topforce17 recently.
