Got a bit of a shock this morning when this arrived. Hadn’t even received notification that it had been dispatched. Thank you to our friends @Fusion-Hobbies for the great price and service, two packets of Haribo as well!!!!

Lightly Tuned motor.

The instructions say to run it for 5 to 10 minutes without load on a 3v battery, I’ve only had kit 540 motors and a couple of brushless ones before & this is news to me.

Oh yes. I don’t really do shelfers. I make static models for that. To me making an RC car that isn’t used doesn’t make any sense. IMHO!!!!

I ran my TZ on transmitter trim 15 minutes each direction until the 3000mAh NiMH ran out.

My first ever hobby grade RC car was an RC10T4 RTR back in 06’. I lost interest in the hobby shortly thereafter (was only 10 at the time, short attention span 😂) and sold it. I’ve always wanted to get another RC10T RTR but they stopped making them in 17’. I was able to find this like new one on eBay and got it ! Never getting rid of this one !

Well well…. Was looking on eBay and came across the same RC10T model (7024) that I got back in 06’ in brand new condition. Just won it on auction!

I like the old tech...

You can use 2 rechargeable AA batteries.  Brushes are usually pre-cut to match the curvature of the commutator.  Even so, if you break them in, they will make better contact. At the same time, the commutator also gets nicely broken in.  8V of fully charged batteries can make the grinding rougher and a lot more sparks. So that's why they recommend 3V.  I doubt that you actually have to do it.  But if you are going to keep it for long, why not?  Better contacts ensure full power out of the motor.

Engine parts for Terra Crusher.  JIS ratchet screwdriver (#2 size) from Vessel. (My trusty old one has gone AWOL)  Front tire for Dancing Rider. (I think I'll cut the sponge into a thinner strip, or leave out entirely.)

Plus two static kits. 'Campus friends' set has 5 figures as pictured. A6 intruder has none. I have no idea what the anime character on the box art is about.

Same here. A static 1/24 has far more details (and correct) than a 1/10 RC.

Didn’t have a special edition blue Brat in the last 12 months or so?

Under my bed will not have enough space for my unmade ones, I fill up a quarter of the loft with them! 🤣

Plug the motor into the esc of an existing running rc turn it all on and slowly turn the throttle trim forward until it turns, keep periodically increasing it over the break in period.

Yep, Sold it. I get focused on a new project and end up selling stuff to fund it. Then end up buying the stuff I've sold again... sometimes.
