Would be nice but nope. Unfortunately they have no idea of the value as there is no invoice or package documents showing the value. Tried phoning the seller; no luck, tried Facebook; no luck, tried e-mail; no luck.  Not even customs have answered my e-mail yet, in which i sent them a "print screen" of my order and my Paypal invoice for the item. Maybe I'll know more tomorrow .

Edit: L&L just answered on FB that they had sent me an email. Not the invoice like i asked for, but a tracking number showing me that the body arrived at customs last Saturday. Don´t know  whether to laugh or cry

Well. Customs have a number now, since you sent your Paypal invoice.

So make your pro forma invoice matching that number and get your body.

That website of L&L is not helping making one. No address, no VAT number, no chamber of commerce number. The logo is can be taken from it though. Is it a real shop or just some guy who somehow can source blobs and print decals?

From RCMart, in a box with an incorrectly filled in CN22 form, 2 servos, an ESC and the programing card for the ESC. This will be the final time I will be giving RCMart my money as the incorrect CN22 can cause problems with the tax man.

And from Aliexpress, some magnetic body mounts.

Arf, sounds familiar somehow... I do have a new moto in terms of purchase: rather buy a second kit than hop-ups, and wait to break something to add stuff on a car (which would probably double the price of the initial kit very quickly if done upfront)...

I was out of luck first time round and didn't even make the top 25 if the Tamiyaclub competition with my dodgy cut and paste creation.

So when the fantastic @Fusion-Hobbies got in touch how could I say no?

@Badcrumble all abaut that kit is Sweet as Jesus

It is a special one, for sure. Gorgeous in white.

I waited too long to get the black 934 and then the 40th edition and was even too slow on the first batch of the 45th - not enough made it through to Fusion to meet demand.

I feel very, very lucky :D

A full set of Hotshot tires, for use on the Marui Samurai.

The front wheels fit just fine. The rear wheels have a smaller diameter so I have a cunning plan to design and 3D print some form of round spacer that fits between rim and tire.

The different sizes is a key particularity of the Samurai. You may search on Thingiverse, someone put some stl for those, printed in some flexible TPU filament, they may be a valid option...

However, facing a similar issue on my side, I may have found a much better solution IMHO:

Front T693 | Block - Front Tyres - Blue - CAT (pr) | Schumacher RC Racing (racing-cars.com) - 2 inches, min block tires (same dimensions as the front Samurai tires)

Rear Rear Tire(Medium/2pcs/w/Inner/Scorpion2014)SCT002MB - KYOSHO RC - mini block tires, same dimension as the rear Samurai tires...

Other alternatives requires new rims or designs too much different between front and rear.

If you want to stick with Hotshot tires, Alien8 sells Samurai like wheels for Hotshot tires - and it would be probably much better to get front and rear to get the same design

Other solution is to use at the rear Kyosho Turbo Optima re-release wheel set and front from Kyosho 4wd Optima (jcracingproducts.co.uk) with tires from Kyosho (the front version for the one used on the Turbo Scorpion re-release which is used on the Kyosho Dirt Hog...

Obviously I prefer a combination that keep the particularity of the rims size difference which is key in the Samurai design, which is the reason why I'm looking at those option. In last ressort, you may use any 4WD Hex Wheels with an adaptor (some exists on the Shapeways, and there might be even some on Thingiverse if you have the capability to print).

Now that being said, you should also consider that the tires are participating to the dampening, and changing the size of the rear tire profile may lead to some damage to the shock towers... The best options is maybe the one using the original rims and tire sizes.

Indeed this is a very particular design.

I'm trying to stick to the hotshot tires. I believe they will look good on my Samurai, which is far from showroom-state anyway so no need to be perfectly period-correct.

But.... If I make/paint the extra added diameter to the rear rims black, the rims will look small diameter from a distance. So the look of the car will be fine. The black will blend with the black of the side of the tire, making it appear like a larger tire.

Not too sure about the best way to do this... Maybe TPU 3D Printed ring could do it and would be indeed a good option as adding extra dampening to the tire... You would have to glue the ring on the rim and the tire on the ring...

Received some goods for a TT02B that I have yet to purchase 🤔 Cart before the horse haha. I have been looking for these Tamiya Super Stock motors in Canada and it's like they don't even exist. Nobody lists them or stocks them. Got them directly from Japan. I prefer to support the local guys but sometimes you have to go directly to the source.

When ordering from RCMart there is a box to add free text. I would use that to specify that you want the full detail on the CN22 and that they should email you to confirm.

Had you done that? Does it work? TBH, they ate just too much trouble and I think it is best to just end my business with them.

No. I’ve never had an issue until the time I wrote about recently when they said I might have to pay tax at import arrival. I said that I had already paid it, they agreed and said they would update the attached documentation!

Actually I already had the same problem with them in the past and kicked up a fuss. They did not update their incorrect practice. Instead of cluttering up this thread, take a look at the problem they caused by the wrong way they fill out the CN22 form on a thread I made last month.

EDIT: Just  noticed you were already there.

Mostly the means to expand my somewhat ghetto modding habit into carbon fibre board, which could be a fool's errand. But also XV-01 Escort wheels that might not be very "scale" but will take normal tyres, and DT-03 shonky Capri ones. Oh, and the means to attempt homemade waterslide decals. Cue quite a lot of swearing...
