F2 Stu 39 Posted March 16, 2013 I wanna see, I wanna see! Just for you, I put it back together Needs a few bits like a front diff cover, antenna base, pinion, front suspension mount (rear) and new bodyset
djmcnz 754 Posted March 17, 2013 Just for you, I put it back together Needs a few bits like a front diff cover, antenna base, pinion, front suspension mount (rear) and new bodyset That looks great, some hop ups too! I like the body actually. If you have to get diff covers it might pay to look at Fredrik's ones available on oOple (here). And as it happens that's exactly what the postman brought me yesterday! New 511 diff covers.
F2 Stu 39 Posted March 17, 2013 Those diff Covers look like they do a better job covering the whole diff, they have the mounting points for the SRB? I like the body and its well painted. I'll peel of the decals and use it but will still order a new set. It's got a weight in the centre between the batterys, not a tamiya part as far as i can tell. djmcnz 754 Posted March 17, 2013 Those diff Covers look like they do a better job covering the whole diff, they have the mounting points for the SRB? SRB? 'Something Roll Bar'? 'Special Racing Buggy'? But yes, they enclose the entire diff, they're pretty much essential unless you're running indoors on carpet. And the do have a place for the roll bar. They're not cheap but do the trick so well its hard to argue. I'll post some pics later in the 'what have you done' thread because I've got them installed, just rebuilding my front diff now. It's got a weight in the centre between the batterys, not a tamiya part as far as i can tell. I'm not sure if Tamiya make weights actually but you'll need those so leave them in. If somebody put them in they probably know how much to include and by the looks of that car the previous owner knew what they were on about.
