My latest Scorcher turned up, it's an eBay purchase and a Re Re.

Needed fresh handset batteries and new crystals, but it looks to be a good value purchase.

Paint job is poor, but that gives me a good excuse to try my hand at painting it.

My new Blitzer tyres turned up too, 4 used ones from an old T.C member, good value again. Perfect for me as I'm trying to run this one on a budget.

It is now ready to run!

This Metallic Special wasn't my cup of tea when first announced, just like the Watanabe Hornet, and yet has grown on me. I may as well just keep my mouth shut when new stuff is announced from now on.

What with me being a Hotshot fanatic I decided I need one to go with the family. And this is my first kit that I have received sealed. I almost did not want to open it. :)

This one came from via Tamico in Germany, the cheapest I could find on the net for this kit, and I can thoroughly recommend them. Quick service and well packaged.

This will be great news for the troll :D ..

But on a better note , Fantastic buy . They look great .

I wonder why some things we didn't like , But like it now ?.

Is it old age ?. Or does it grow on us ?, or is it because it's a change from what it used to be ( from the orignal ) ?.

I think we mostly go off our initial instinct for most things & it can be difficult to admit that you may have gotten it wrong the first time.

I got my latest model purchase today.

It arrived upside down In partially opened box..my heart was in my mouth, but it was all ok.

So I'm a happy boy! Its a vintage 3 speed Hilux.

This will be my last purchase for a while, so its nice to end it on a high note.

I'll add it to my showroom soon.

Got a Wild Dagger incomplete kit. Missing the body, electronics and a few little chassis things. But ill be swapping the arms over to my TL01 to make an extreme version of the TL01 LA kit. :)

Posted

Won't that just make it a Baja King / Champ?!

I still have some tired old TL01s, does anyone know if the wheelbase will suit a lexan Brat body? I'm thinking of making a scale Brat with it...

Yea, it will be a TL01B pretty much now. I also ended up picking up 3 TL01 partial kits including one chassis with a Long arm kit installed, and a few hop ups off a seller on Ebay today. I should be able to build the TL01LA back up to a runner, and hope to use the rest of the parts and actually get the Wild Dagger back in at least basher status. I have two silver cans just sitting around, and most of everything needed anyways. Plus it would be a shame not to save it.

AAA metric here locally specialize in the rare stuff and one of them is into RC so they know the cars too. He's identified the cars I'm working on by the bolts I need. :D

The postie brought this yesterday, the Astute Jr. Alitalia Version:

One day I'd like to do up a 1/10 version, time and funds permitting.

Well it arrived today & woohoo ...

I now have a runner Egress  .

I did see type49ers Egress for sale after this :( .

But if it's still for sale in the next month i may look at buying it <_< ...

Now back to this fine Tamiya car , It does need some cleaning & i have found that it has alloy steering arms :o BUT !!

Sadly they were hacked to use the pins / screws they had :( . Good job i do have some coming from RC mart ;) .
