Yeah I have had a look, I'm pretty sure it's either Edinger or Cadillac, it's already out in the workshop so probably need to compare it to the pics side by side.

Impact 17pndr alum turned barrel for my Heng Long Sherman Firefly project arrived from Singapore in less than a week!

Very good quality item that may even be compatible with the Airsoft mechanism as it will allow 6mm BBs through it! Bit of a result as this little Sherman has the best airsoft unit of all my tanks

And collected a RC10 rear bulkhead and a high down force rear wing from the Post Office this afternoon

Edit - looks like the TA-01 belongs with the Celica shell, and it has the two piece rally wheels fitted. I might have to tidy the shell up after all

And also in the mix was a Tamiya QD Sport Focus Rally car in bits - probably the only thing of use are the wheels, the rest is bespoke to the QD series models which were Walmart quality RC

That Sherman does look good. Do they do any more modern machinery? I fancy an Abrams...

These Shermans are very nice and I'd recommend it. You can get an Abrams in a similar scale but its not Heng Long, doesn't have the proportional control and has moulded rubber band style tracks. A company called Hooten did a T60 (I think, maybe T72) that looked good but is rare. I always thought Tamiyas choice of a Leopard 2 was a strange choice, surely an Abrams would've sold better? Saying that as the Challenger 2 has very similar running gear to the Leopard 2, it only needs the plastic body parts moulded to make a whole new (and better battle proven) tank on the same RC base. Other ball dropped by Tamiya?

I am in talks with my LHS about getting a Leopard 2a6 kit at the moment. In my excitement I have been watching tamiyas 1:16 and also the 1:1 leopard videos solid for the past three days lol. If I had a choice between a leopard, Abrams, challenger or chieftain, I would have still picked the leopard. Although I absolutely understand and hear the calls for Abrams and Challengers, especially the Challenger, its about time they did a british tank for you guys

Today I received dampers for The Frog and a CRP front bumper - the dampers were just assembled:

The bumper will go in during the first overhaul as the chassis must be taken apart to install, but the dampers are already on the car.

TRF 501x instruction manual & front world edition shock tower, an assortment tamiya hexhead screws for the 511 rebuild.

Popped into MZ Crawley and raided the TS paints, coming out with obscure colours, but at nominally 99p a tin I wasn't going to argue!

Then from Germany:

Latest edition to my TRF stable, not sure what I'm going to do with this 501x, but came with a spares package not mentioned, which in keyed new shock towers and an instruction manual, oh well!

RC stuff was sparse to non existent, lot of lunch boxes at £99 still, ex demo cars with not a lot of discount, non RC stuff they've still go a fair amount, the Minichamps 1/43rd 1/18th had thinned out quite a bit since I was last there about 3 weeks ago.

when I asked on a finish date they didn't know, but they said they would be given 3 weeks notice, and was likely they would receive more stock as other stores shut.

Funny thought that the black edition would be black not silver.

Got a slightly used Avante 2011 today. It came with a Carson 40 mhz. radio and Carson servo, an extra body and a few other things. Motor and esc was not included, but for 200$ I am quite satisfied.
