Nice Bigwig. They look awesome.

Steve.

Thank you! They really do look great IRL. In pictures they look kind of toy like. This one will be restored to its former glory. Some day ;)

I got in the post today, 1 Blazing Blazer rear cage and replacement vintage tyre.

And 2 letter painting pens, 1 gold and 1 white. So I'm going to practise on some old tyres and see how I get on.

OK this is a bit tarty as I already have full 1/4" socket set in my roll cab but hey I wanted a separate one for my RC stuff so I don't have to keep going out into the garage, it's cold out there this time of year :lol::lol:

I had a fun assortment of stuff show up today...

- LaFerrari body set: The pictures don't really convey the proportions of this shell very well. Holding it in my hands, it's proportioned very nicely and will look great once the weather gets warmer for painting.

- A set of foams: Nothing special about these; they're for some loose tires I have.

- TB04 metal gears for the differentials: This is the final hop up part I wanted before starting my TB03 / TB04 builds.

- 3Racing brake discs: Just for fun, I bought these to try out.

- Tom's EXIV wheels: I bought the EXIV body set from Tamiya USA last year for a pretty good price. When I spotted these wheels I ordered them to complete the look.

- 18-spoke wheels, both gray and chrome: I have the Petronas Syntium SLS body set, so these wheels complete the look.

- TA05 VDF Ackerman steering set: I have one of these NIB and thought I would grab the steering set on deep discount.

- A 5-pack of Tamiya decals: I bought some of these before, but they're such nice quality I wanted a few more.

- 3mm thread forming tap: Bought a second one of these as a backup.

- DF03 clear blue dampers: I bought a set of these with the thought of shooting some video of the pistons in motion while driving.

- 3Racing electric winch and replacement motor: Queuing these up for a CR-01 build next year.

- Blue wheel nuts: I want my TB03R and TB04PRO to have the same wheel nuts when they're finished and placed side by side.

Those brakes are going to look well sexy behind those multispoke wheels :D

Received some parts for future DB01/DB01R refreshes and upgrades...

- Durga shells, decals, and wings: I know the Baldre shell is more functional, but I like the flatter shape of the Durga shell more...

- Diff parts bag, shaft parts bag, motor mount bag: Bargain parts 75% off at Tamiya USA; buying any of the parts individually is almost the same cost as the whole parts bag itself, so why not get everything for a drivetrain refresh?

- Front one-way: Should provide more steering.

- Double slipper: I'm not sure if this is a useful upgrade, but I want to know about it. It might be handy to decouple the front and rear somewhat; on the other hand, I worry more stress is put on the rear diff if the front is always slipping under hard acceleration.
