Nice delivery - I bet the order error feels worth it now

The leopard kit looks great, must resist the urge to start building it.

I need to sort out an airbrush so I can paint parts before building.

Error,,,,, what Error?

......... ohhh that Error

looks like I may be a little busy if I can get to build it

Well done, my hat off to you. That is a Christmas and a half right there.

I do wonder what the difference is between the 56019 and (my) 56020 kit though?

I hope you have some time off as you have a lot of building in front of you!

Are you going to add any hop ups to the leopard? I know it might seem like a stretch to pour more money into an already expensive kit but now is the time to do it.

Awesome... two high end Tamiya kits both at either ends of the spectrum.

Merry Christmas ukfox :) :) :)

Well I have ordered the metal track adjusters from tankzone, along with the trailing arm kit,

**** this is getting expensive.

Also I have ordered the bearings, as I think it only includes the bearings for the gearbox. the other 76 are bushings, according to the online manual.

(I haven't opened the box up yet as I know I will want to start it)

The 56019 is listed as japan only, not sure why. It does include the new 2.4 ghz 4channel futaba controller.

My credit card is taking a hammering as I have also sent off for an expo airbrush kit.

Plus some nato brown, black and green.

Ohh on the subject of time. I finished work today and don't have to go back till the 6th of January :)

Have I forgot anything?

Merry Christmas everyone

That'll be it then, the 4ywd 2.4ghz unit is a fantastic unit for the leopard :)

Dont mean to scare you, but just be wary of tankzone as I have heard of him not sending items and he is in the bad seller list on a couple of tank forums.

I used 7 pottles of nato green, just a smidge over one pottle of black and about 1/8 of brown. I had no idea how much paint I would use. I also used half a pottle of flat clear, I also weathered and added some other various colours.

Make sure you have plastic primer and also metal primer.

Ummm, I would advise you paint it in sections. Wheels first, assemble lower hull with wheels and paint, then install gearbox. Assemble upper hull and paint green and then brown and black, paint lower turret then assemble, mask off hull from turret then upper turret. Something like that anyway. :)

Enjoy and looking forward to the pics! :D

And now for something a little different...

Haven't built a model for ages. The box is absolutely crammed full of parts! Should keep me busy for a while :)

Nice . These make a really good Model . I've seen one at the Local scale boat club that's being converted to RC . It sails well on the pond so long as its not too windy or choppy BTW .

The postman brought me a rather fetching Iconic RC T-shirt and stickers from Sir J.Weston.

Be careful! I heard a rumour that those things attract the ladies worse than a lynx/axe advert, plus it gives you instant kudos and discounts when you walk within a 50m radius of a hobby shop, and people will bow at your feet with unfinished vintage rc offerings!* :o :O :o

*rumour may not be entirely true..

Got some bearings for the leopard kit today.

These are the Rubber shielded ones for the suspension and road wheels.

Kit needs 32 of 850 and 44 of 1280,

to replace the supplied brass bushings

Have uploaded pics of the kit box to my show room (I still haven't opened the box yet,,,,,, must resist temptation)

Will do! Bought the TT-02 version first but the chassis looked no fun so I sold it unbuilt

Today I received,

The Expo air brush from Folly models, great service.

Will be able to start painting as soon as I have some decent dry weather

Here's a great tip I use to overcome our less than perfect UK weather . Get hold of a cheap PVC plastic framed 'green house ' . The sort used to grow on cuttings . Most garden centres do them at reasonable prices . This makes a really good indoor spray booth . I have added dust extraction to mine using a charity store vac hover / gaffer tape and heat with a simple UV light bulb set up . With this you can spray all year around either in a shed / garage or a spare room without too many fumes .

Just a set of metal bearings for a FAV from RCbearings. Nothing too exciting, but at least its something! #

Also got a new 144hz 27" monitor, not RC, but allows me to view the forums in great size now :)
