My name is wood5tock and I am a Tamiyaholic, it's been 8hrs since my last purchase...

...AND I LOVE IT

I think me and Woodstock bought from the same Ebay seller. I too got some Super Sabre decals in the post today - Beatties old stock too. I have a Super Sabre chassis, but no body yet. Only one I've seen so far is a tad too much money.

Luckily the Sabre I got a few weeks back has a new painted body so i will use that for a runner body then when I get another I can use these for the SQ version ;)

Nice little haul this morning - a plastic gear set plus full set of bearings for my Manta Ray resto and two Avante Racing Steering sets :)

What do you expect for £9.34 !

Bargain! Is that an e-bay special? I never seem to spot the bargains on there and everything I watch seems to go for silly money.

Getting fed up waiting for parcels from the far east, thought i'd better get something more local, so here's half a madcap..

Actually, i buy alot local. I find that on local 2nd hand sites, there is alot less competition and you can buy at reasonale prices

ebay - £15 with free first class delivery (£5.66) so £9.34 for the car - it was buy it now, surprised it hadn't been snapped up - i read the description about 8 times just to check it wasn't one of those adverts for a random screw !

Winner :) Certainly looks worth the money.

Worth the money - yes, worth restoring no

It was bought for parts for another Madcap build so if all that came off it were the shocks, drive cups and motor plate it was going to be worth the money.

The bad parts - chassis smashed to smithereens at the rear, held together with ally plate, one rear arm mount broken.

But I salvaged shock towers, front bumper, front kick up, steering cranks, entire gearbox, arms, shocks and axles/hexes/dogbones so a resounding win.

Now, I have a spare NIP Astute chassis plate - hmmm

Do we have a "what the postman didn't bring me" thread? Thanks, DHL, for delivering my package all the way from Hong Kong to Cincinnati, and then back to Hong Kong with nary a doorbell ring or a phone call.

DHL showed up with my package today. In all fairness to them, they did open a case file, track it down, and then reroute it back to me. And, everyone I spoke with on the phone or in person was very polite. So even though the package went around the Earth one extra time, they took care of the issue in only a few days and did it very professionally.

Well I finally received my first ever order from banzai this morning .......... Huge box!

So I now own a tamiya modellers knife with some spare blades and 2 packets of tamiya black when nuts.

Oh and almost forgot ........ A bruiser :):)
