Wheels and tyres for my TA-05R. First order from Banzai, simple box, no cushioning, it was a ho-hum feeling, I must admit, I didn't get that sense like I was royalty like you do when opening a parcel wrapped lovingly with surgical precision from Stella. B)

Yesterday I had two cards left by the postie, so today including the parcel left at the door I received:

Tamiya Reefer trailer from JR-RC. The shipping was cheap but unfortunately there was a reason why, it had the postage consignment stuck to the original box and got pretty banged up on the way over. Lucky it is being built and the contents look to be ok.

CC01 parts from Stella. A chassis, bumper parts tree, axles and a TA05 spur gear. All individually wrapped in bubble wrap and air packets top and bottom, splendid!

A package from Verkerk Modelbouw, a driver and passenger for my truck and scale hubs for 4 axles on my trailers :)

I wish Stella had the reefer in stock :(

This arrived today, was listed on the local trading site for a few weeks with no bites so the third time it was listed the seller lowered the price a little so I grabbed it as I don't have a Manta Ray. It always interesting following online auctions as some vintage tamiya seem really hard to sell at reasonable prices and others sell really fast like falcons! those things always seem to sell really fast for good money!! Its a roller with no electrics but that's easily fixed as I have heaps of bits lying around to get it up and running. Seems pretty stock apart from some after market springs.

Very cool mate! I nearly bit and hit the buy now on that but I have enough projects so I let it go, I hope it's as tidy as it looked! :)

Thanks Berman, yeah I was thinking the same and the last thing I need is another project but I couldn't help myself! Will sit on the shelf for a while until I finish my other projects

Looks very neat. What are your plans for it?

Nothing to major, its in really good nick, no cracks in the chassis (that I can see) the tires and wheels are in excellent condition and the body is super tidy. I will strip, clean it and reassemble with a silver can and some basic electrics and knowing me run it once and put it on a shelf :D

I seem to go from no projects to too many! I took out my black foot for a spin tonight and broke the rear hub adapters on both sides! just old and brittle. Seems lately any time I take out one of my vintage cars something breaks and ends up costing me money :(

I should just stick to running newer stronger cars and displaying the vintage ones?

I had planned to buy an old Thundershot to restore but then this came up and I got what I think was a decent deal on it so happy days. Quite pleased with this one.

Some Abisma shocks and Tamiya damper O-rings for my Manta Ray:

The shocks are well-machined, but the action is pretty abysmal in stock form due to poor assembly and low-quality shaft seals. However if rebuilt properly using Tamiya O-rings on the shafts, you end up with a superb set of shocks at a bargain price.
