A Sport Tuned motor and four 3x38mm screw pins for a Boomer build and a new charger to replace my old Fusion one.

It's a relatively new one from ImaxRC (X100) with one of those fancy touch screens and graphical displays, but I got it mostly to do things that my Fusion won't do, such as discharge, cycle and store. I hope it's reliable.

I'm trying out a few things now - currently discharging a Lipo for storage, and the fan is quite loud. It didn't come on during charging though. It only kicks in if the charger needs cooling.

yip, the fan will always blow when discharging , especially at 3A , for the cost i was blown away by the over all quality and function of the X100 , i really dont need a new charger but i do find myself hankering after one every time i have a go .

Once again my wonderful wife has made sure my birthday is full of RC goodness:

The Renault Alpine is a shell that I have liked since it first came out, and I have read good things about the M06, so I am very pleased to have this in my fleet.

With over 20 runners in my fleet, I have run out of model memories on my DX3C, so the 30-model-memory DX4S will allow me to run them all on 2.4GHz.

Plus the motor, bearing kit and servo will help me complete the M06, and the latest Top Gear magazine will makes for entertaining reading!

Went nuts this month on F1. Just picked up from a LHS Tamiya's Wolf F104W with ESC included for $80.00, NIB! Next stop, another seller for TRG F114W for the Wolf conversion. This year Tamiya got my money because of their F1s. No more RC....for now or got yo sell some.

This morning I received a brand new Spektrum DX3C transmitter courtesy of Modelsport. My old one that I got 3 years ago was acting a bit odd so I sent it in for repair. However rather than repairing it and trying to charge me, they sent me a replacement free of charge!

I know they are merely doing their duty, and every shop should do likewise in such a situation in terms of the Sales of Goods Act. However I appreciate it when a company does the right thing straight away without the customer having to fight for it in court. Definitely going to keep supporting Modelsport!

Text from DHL - Package from Prague ready to collect...

This was a tactical decision, they sent me a text originally asking if I would like the parcel delivered to my local DHL collection point instead. I figure, this way the Mrs won't even see it!

Trouble is we are waiting on a bl**dy Meerkat from that insurance website and I didn't want her seeing an invoice for $99 for some bent metal

Those Meerkats take 6 weeks to come matey

Yea, it's been around that long hence the decision to avoid any parcels going to the house - she will just open them anticipating a stuffed toy!
