and the good ole Royal Mail charges demand for £11 - all for a Turnigy servo ! - but at least its a 24Kg rated servo, still as cheap as a UK purchase and I have been lucky of late so I'm probably due a bill lol!

They caught me yesterday too. Maybe they've employed a new apprentice?!

A hard to take photo of Mk1 Escort shell, comes in two halves that have to trimmed and joined, any tips on what sort of glue to use?

Does the paint go on after joining the two halves? I'm worried about an ugly glue line which cannot be hidden.

Where did you get this from out of interest or what make is it?

Its made by Retro Racing, you can find some on UK ebay or some UK shops. Not exactly sure what the best place to get them is, they seem a bit more scarce these days.

These have screws & have to be painted with water base paint or it will go hard & smash .

You set it up & put in screws , then pull apert & paint ( water base ) .

Straight home at lunchtime for a peek :)

I've always wanted a Clod and I saw this full setup on eBay last week and couldn't resist :)

I've never seen one in the flesh before and nothing could have prepared me for the scale of this thing - a phrase I hate but - OMG!!!!

The Ansmann W5 is surplus to requirement BTW - brand new, never been out of the box and complete with the smallest 3ch receiver I have ever seen.

Anyone interested? PM me if you are otherwise its going on eBay.

Correct,i double checked with the supplier and the shell is not polycarbonate it is PET,and has to be lightly sanded/scotchbrighted before being painted with light coats of a waterbased paint, well pointed out, shame the supplier does not tell you this and you have to ask.

I am guessing tamiya x-1 to x-33 would be o.k as they water based acrylic resin paint?

What about the TS aerosols?

I met my postman in person today, but unfortunately nothing of the RC variety arrived for me. It had me thinking of "Please Mr. Postman," and how I wish my receiver and driver figures would arrive:

"Please Mr. Postman (Please Mr. Postman, look and see!)

Oh yeahhhh (If there's receivers, and drivers for me!) Pleease

Mr. Po-oh-oh-oh-ostman

Why don't you shake it and see,

If there's RC parts for me?"

Which then turned to:

"Mr. Tamiya (Mr. Tamiya, look and see!)

Oh yeahhhh (Re-re a Blazer, Celica Group B!) Pleease

Mr. Ta-ah-ah-amiya

Why don't you do R & D?

Give us a new old car please!"

So I am still waiting on my purchases, but in the meantime am amusing myself far too much with a parody song! (for the record, I am a fan of Weird Al Yankovic and recently acquired his latest album)

That did not take long - today, the postman gave me the willies...

... I mean, the Willys!

At least one is getting built up and painted; the second one may get to ride shotgun depending on how the first one goes!

And already my Willy is touching everything in sight:

From a fine gentleman known as "loaded" on the forums which I am sure many of you know, I received this in the mail today.

While never viewed as a top-end racer or competitor like the Optima series, I think the Turbo Rocky has a unique and aggressive look that holds its own.

The platinum shocks, black wheels and low-slung body styling really make it look cool.

Box is a little worn but all parts are there.

Thanks go to Paul for a very pleasant transaction.
