Its quality tape, but make sure you press any edges down firmly prior to spraying and don;lt apply to thick (wet) a paint layer as it will soak through the tape in extremis.

HI!... O.k got a few things today.

1st is a Team Associated RC10 mid motor. Probably going to redo this one. The smurf blue is not my thing. All the plastic will be dyed black as well.

It came with a spare "A" gold chassis as well :

Got a bunch more Tamiya BigWig stuff as well. I'm currently working on #5 and #6 at the same time.

Also picked up a almost complete Tamiya BigWig car. This one caught my eye because it had some rare items on it. Never seen the front or rear sway bar set-ups before? Also it has a fiberglass rear shock support, and 50% of a after market front bumper. The Moon Craft wheels are in excellent shape and it has the original Technigold motor in it. Too bad it's missing the sub chassis and MSC. The body was painted very well. Just not my choice of colours. lol!

Also got a assortment of tires/wheels. 90% NEW. The black rims are aluminum and look to be never used. Don't know who makes them?

Also got a black RC10 stealth trans and extra parts :

Strictly speaking this was Friday but I got my super cheap Banzai order of some DF-03 tyres and a couple of motors.

Banzai are awesome I use them all the time mostly on small parts delivered via SALE so no customs charges.

Steve.

Agreed - don't like their new website though :(

Yep - it SUCKS. Why fix something that wasn't broken?! The stupid circular 'portholes' for the product photographs look so naff!

This arrived this morning, got it from a local auction site for a fair price. The shell is in a really bad state and needs replacing and also didn't come with tires, if anyone as any spares feel free to message me

Yet another car to add to the project list

Is it bad that I looked at those but can't now consider them for my 306 Maxi project because they are marked 'Pirelli' and the 306 WRC ran Michelins?!

The Tamiya rally block tyres I bought are too big and rub :( I'm thinking I'm going to need to go down the route of some on-road tyres for it, since it was particularly well known for it's performace on tarmac events anyway...

Went to Maplin today for some bits and ended up stocking up on tools as they have a half price sale on a lot of stuff, came away with this little lot for not much money:

and if you're not fussy about tyres then these are very good value..

I'm probably going to go for the original Tamiya blocks but thanks any way :)

Thanks steve, ***** shell I'm guessing will be the way to go as an original Tamiya escort shell would be big dollars

Got the last shipment of Tamiya manuals and stickers from a big lot of old RC stuff I bought from a friend of mine earlier this year. Still not sure if I will hang onto it yet, but fun to look through. I've never even seen the Ligier JS9 Matra until now.

Yesterday, I bought enough items to qualify for free shipping from my local hobby shop  Definitely out of budget for that...

As such, I decided to free up some time and have it delivered. My order arrived by this afternoon:

Some nice purple alloy wheel hexes, £1.50 delivered from HK.

Bit mad when you think that a first class stamp is 60p & a jiffy bag is about a pound over here!

"Keeping it nib"

Something I'll never understand as long as I live... :)
