A nice haul of parts for my M chassis from Modelsport and RCBearings:

Foams are for use in a set of 60D rally blocks that will go on my M06 Alpine. Quick release battery holder is for my upcoming M03 rally conversion, as are the rubber-sealed bearings, 20t steel pinion and one of the metal wheel hex sets. The other set of metal wheel hexes is for the Alpine, and the 17t pinion is for my M04 truck conversion.

Not strictly today, but this week I've had 7 cans of paint, some metal suspension pieces for my Murder Beetle build, 4 pairs of 2.2" tyre foams and some bearings for my two TL01 builds....all of which equates to running out of excuses for about 6 stalled/unstarted projects!

Arrived to work this morning to find an early morning delivery awaiting me. Ordered this nearly a month ago, I've been mega excited but also cautious in case there were any issues with it getting lost or anything. Seemed to be the last one I could find available anywhere and looks like this one has the optional special parts (steering/toque splitter) which I wasn't expecting but can't confirm as not opened it yet.

:)

Will be a while before I get around to building this but can't wait!!

Some goodies from Asiatees arrived on Saturday - however I have just spent the weekend in Newcastle so I've only just had a chance to go through it all. Got another CC01 steering set from GPM for £7.odd in the flash sale. Also stocked up on some 1150 and 850 bearings 'just in case'. Oh and some silly-cheap £1.52 servo posts for my WT01.

I don't think it was a big enough box

I use photobucket.you have to load your photo onto this site. then copy and paste it to this one.

when your ready to paste type in

at the end of it

on photo bucket site use the 'direct' option for for copying

hope this helps. I was struggling until the guys on here helped me out with this. if this doesn't seem clear go into the tc builds forum and look on my alloy wild one thread. there are a few ways to do it

This sounds interesting. What are your plans for the project?

Well... I plan to shorten a TL01 chassis to 210mm wheelbase, fit M03 suspension arms and universals all round, Mini rally block tyres for grip and a bit more ride height and I've got the M03 Racing Mini body set ready to go. It'll be Monte Carlo-esq without the offical Tamiya body set.

The TL chassis gives me the option to run it FWD or 4WD (or even RWD). Actually it should allow me to try out the different configurations and see what sort of effect they have on performance, that's something I've wanted to do for a while now :)

Ive either got the bits or they're on route from Honkers so once it's all here and the work bench is clear (enough :D) I'll get cracking with a build thread.

I've been keeping track of project binky too. Had a celica st205 gt4 wrc which I imported from japan a few years back. Ever since then anything gt4 related I like to follow. A gt4 engine in a 4 wheel drive mini is going to be awesome!

I'll have to look it up. Obviously a 4x4 classic mini isn't technically correct but it should handle off road a lot better and the shorter wheelbase coupled with the Mini's minimal overhang should make it pretty capable. Classic looks with improved performance ticks the boxes for me :D
