Yesterday he brought me my new Holiday Buggy 2010 and its bearings.... unfortunately it was missing the proper motor mounting bolts but instead had a couple of mismatched bolts that were too long and narrow :) First time I've ever had a Friday afternoon kit from Tamiya :(

My Falcon finally arrived after 8 weeks at sea….. bit more of a wreck than it looked with the pics.

Will have to see what it will cost to get it up and about may have to cut my losses on it

I bet you're happy it finally arrived! ;)

I hope it doesn't cost too much to get it running.

If the front end is in good nick, you'll be right.

If not, might become expensive. ;) (R, F and D parts aren't cheap, and are hard to find)

I may have some of those parts kicking around, but I won't get around to looking for a couple of weeks as I am going out of town. Once you get it torn down and cleaned up, send me a PM with what you need and I'll see if I can save you some money.

Cheers,

Mark

Just got a NIB Blitzer Beetle shell in one package, and a box of rubbish in the another. The box of rubbish adds up to one useable (I think...) boomer and a few bits of a bigwig. Price was right, and I think the boomer can be refurbed to make a decent runner, but the bigwig parts are just that - parts.

As a bonus, the box contained a very tidy Technigold! Makes the whole purchase worthwhile IMO!

Got a couple of HobbyWing low-voltage cut-offs today.

If only I got them last fri, I could've ran my Falcon for longer, and without fear of it catching on fire!

Please let us know which ones you got and how they go? I'm thinking of doing a couple of brushed/LiPo conversions also? I hope it's just a matter of sticking some deans plugs and a lvco to the speedie?

No joy with the postie this week :)

I picked up a couple of these.

Seem to work ok.

Ran for 25min with Black Can and 5000mAh LiPo and still had 7.6v when I put it on the charger! :D

All I have done is Deans + LVCO. (+ESC)

Amazing how much difference it made! :D

You wont regret it!

I'm a little confused. Can you program these cutoffs? I can't see how you even came close to the cut off value if you still had 7.6V in the battery.

My MA03RS 911 GT1 eBay purchase - woohoo! Not opened it up yet but packaging survived royal mail onslaught without any damage.

The cutoffs can be programmed.

I set it at 3.1v per cell - the highest setting.

It didn't get anywhere near cutting off.

I still had two LEDs showing.

I should've clarified that! ;)

It was more a comment as to the length of run time, 25 min, and plenty left to go.

I'll give it a run on the weekend, full charge until it cuts off.

Will be nearly an hour by the looks! :)
