About a week after the new Avante run was announced I picked up these at the post office. My timing could've been better, but the price was ok for the pair and I won't have to headbutt the wall in frustration over the japanese market only release of the Avante.

Sorry about the crappy photo, they're on a table and my arms are only so long.

So back in 2006 I bought a TA05R chassis kit. I then bought a random set of wheels and tyres from my local model shop that turned out to have been from an opened Honda Arta NSX kit. Yet in all those years I never bought the body shell for it, just resorting to using what ever shell was to hand. Well finally, 11 years on I've managed to find the Arta NSX body parts! I've just ordered the paints from Modelsport so it shouldn't be too long until the TA05R is finally completed! I would post a picture but for some reason I can only upload pictures of 1.98mb which is odd as it was formerly 4.77. I have no way of reducing the picture size. I feel it's a shame as posting pictures was already hard enough, now it's impossible.

Been away on business lately but came home to find a couple of recent eBay purchases have arrived.

Tamiya Saint Dragon.  Little too far gone to be restored to a shelf queen without a completely new tub, bumpers and arms but it's perfect to be a runner. It's all there and in good mechanical condition. The body shows some wear and a rather transparent paint job. Going to make this one a runner in an upcoming build.

Next up is a Rock Buster. Been after a nice one of these for years and this one is almost perfect except for the poor paint job. This will be a complete shelf queen level restoration as soon as I can put my hand on a decent set decals.  Anyone have a source?

And finally an Aristocraft Koala. Very nice condition and reasonably complete chassis.  Needs a rear body mount and the impossible to find body but I'm sure one will turn up.  Combining this with the partial Kangaroo cars in the basement I should be able to make a runner out of it.

Pardon me if it was covered elsewhere, but WHERE and WHAT wheels are those shown just a tad bit above the Utility tires you are showing us??? They look like a good start for a "steelie" wheel.

they are small-wheel steelies popularised by the drift crowd to build DriftPigs. They were first issued by one of the Japanese niche RC drift accessory firms, now China-ised <_<

like the HPI Vintage rims, they are 1.9s with a section of sidewall molded into the wheel... looks good when the sidewall section is painted black

looks real odd when ppl paint the whole wheel white or silver and don't paint faux sidewall black  (looking at you cwarler guys...!)

I am sure you won't believe me, but that will NOT come up on usa Ebay only yours. I have cut and pasted the item number and stupid ebay says NO ITEM FOUND. I hate the criss cross that eBay is across different country's listings. I see they are from China, so thanks for the information, but might need more. Would you get me the dimensions of the wheels as I intend to put them perhaps on a touring car or a M chassis car and do you think I will play havoc getting the tires off the wheels as they are preglued and lastly, what is your opinion of the rubber they chose, durable or 4 runs and done????

Chris

sorry, forgot to include the tire dimensions, they are: 68 mm outer, rims are approx  54 mm high, tires are 26 mm wide. Silver section of the rim is 44 mm high and there is a black rim part (to blend in with the tire that takes the rim height to 54 mm.

plus another brochoure that has Carson's stuff in it too dont recall ever seeing this stuff in the states.....

Got an ESC for our loaner SCT, replacement masking tape to refill my stock after painting up the TA07 body, the 1 MILLION SCT diff fluid for the front diff on the TA07 and finally an experimental STRC aluminum front weight block for an Associated B5.  I'm curious if this $5 part will work in place of the $30 Tamiya part on my TRF 201.  I'm not sure if I'll be able to actually use an Associated part on my TRF.  I feel dirty even typing it out.

      Hi Jon,
In the linked image, I've simply moved the bar forward until it is centered directly over the rear shock tower (approx. 10.72mm) and kept the same height.  Is this what you had in mind?

I've also reached out to you on Thingiverse via you R53JRC user name.
