It looks like a real fun time is about to be had. I have bought Apex bearings, I haven't found anything wrong with them, aside from stock being up and down at times on the "basic" Tamiya sizes. I don't think I have used the Advantage brand and from the card back, that size isn't something I have used before, but I haven't really build that modern of a kit in some time. I think the most modern kits in my stable are the Willy's Wheeler and an FF03, but they are still in prison and I have a kick on the M chassis going on.

Got my first set of universals.  After losing another set of XV01 axles, I've decided the front requires them.  The rear I have a spare set and I've spray painted the others red to make them easier to find.

Also really kinda trying to finish the FGX rebuild.

This beauty arrived today making a week of being laid up with Flu more bearable. Fairly straight body and a near mint original chassis

The postie has literally just dropped off a set of Rothmans Honda decals and Kyosho High Grip tyres with wheels for my Kyosho NSR 500 HOR project. Just waiting for him to bring me a couple of other wee bits and bobs before I can get it started.

Got my License Plates I ordered last Friday.

RC DMV is on Facebook. Just IM him and he will customize the plates down to what date you want for the tabs and screws.

5 Plates cost me only $18.50 shipped and they are on metal.

Nice group there and you will certainly be able to confirm my thoughts on that thrust bearing when it gets to you on Monday. Let me know, if my hunch is right, I know what I can do on my next rebuild.

I think I am about 800 mainline, but I too like Matchbox. On that "dream" around me it would be a dream as it seems all these things are picked over, but if you get out at 2am and hunt, you might get some luck. I highly doubt around me that anything Tamiya would appear.

Tell me about it! Mainly from the wife:rolleyes:! The dump bins are my nemesis the one ya want is always in the middle!

Dump bins are my nemesis too, but the one store manager near me HATES them to the point where she has forbade the toy manager permission to put them out, so no dump bin for me. You might have a look over at Matchbox's site, they have some interesting cars out this year, mixed loosely into the mega wild fantasy machines and crap they make as well. :P One word may help, MERCEDES, oh and 6wheeler too.

I wonder if this is why one day dump bins are there full then the next day gone? But what gets me is how many shops/supermarket's that sell hot wheels just have empty pegs or bins for month's at a time i always thought space is money with these companies?<_<. I'll give the  Matchbox site a look:)!

Yeah UK is very very poor stocking hot wheels but only i would say in the last 6ish years no idea why I'm guessing that they are not as popular in the UK as in the USA anymore but over the last 40 year's of collecting them there is some really good colours which I try and replicate on my Tamiya bodies especially the more modern muscle and flame cars!

That has become my muse this year. I have replicated some of my Hot Wheels to look like my Tamiya builds and I even have built some Tamiyas based upon Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars I found this year or in the last few years. I have removed some decals(tampos) from the small cars to help match the Tamiya car.

Straight from Japan:  I got a cool white chassis tub and D-parts tree as well a C-parts tree for my daughters Pink Special TT-02B because she's hammered the front arms to the point that I can't mount her shocks in all the holes.
