Got some MST LTX Rally tyres.  They've got a realistic looking tread and they come with preshaped inner sponge as well.  I bought them for the XV01 but I might see how they look on the MF01X Jimny first.

So it's not just me that Hermes delicately delivers packets to:unsure:! I managed to get probably one of the last buggy champs for sale in the country a while back it took me ages to find and the shop sent it Hermes and I think they were playing parcel Olympics and used my buggy champ as the bullseye for the javelin event because it had a hole straight through it including the body! To say I was *****ING angry was the understatement of the century:angry::angry:!!!!! Even thinking about it now makes my blood pressure hit the roof!!!........now I'm off the have a lie down!

It think it you write fragile on the box it means its fair game!

Tbh I have never had a issue with myhermes, I do tend to pay extra for insurance. Did you have any comeback from myhermes?

No because it's the sender who has to deal with it! I obviously contacted the seller but I got the wiff of he thought I was just pulling a fast one (so to speak) because I didn't want to send it back because there was no chance of getting a replacement so he reluctantly give me % off it was just a pain in the rear:angry: all because Hermes can't do the one thing we pay them to do?. I think they are known in the business circle as disrupter companies (Hermes, yodell, Uber, deliveroo etc and Amazon to a certain extent)  they do everything dirt cheap (pay workers next to nothing with rubbish T&C's etc) until normal suppliers and delivery companies can't compete and disappear then hay presto the markets all there's and prices rocket<_<!

Also have to say I've never had an issue with MyHermes - I've had dozens of packages delivered by the local agent who is excellent.

That package does not look like is was done up particularly well and also I think a lot of the low cost courier companies share distribution networks.

You find good and bad in all walks of life - I've had stuff delivered by some of the premium courier services which look as though they have not taken much care of them but again it could be the packaging was not to a good standard in the first place.

managed to pick up some Marui rims, for the Galaxy RS and the Jeep CJ (or is it the Golden Eagle). I only need the Galaxy ones though.

Marui-rims-1.jpg

Plus a Hornet body set, now that I have one to restore.

hornet_body_set-1.jpg

And these seem to be as rare as hens teeth now, a mini cooper body set. This one was body only, no decals and seems to be from the 58438 kit. I want to do a couple of versions, so I might have a go at making copies of the body one day. Because of the detail on the front and rear it'll have to be a 3 part mold, so that should be interesting challenge.

Just had a message to say that a parcel has been delivered. It originated in France but the last leg was Hermes.

Haven't seen it myself yet, and won't until this evening, so can't comment on the condition of the parcel yet.

The contents?

My RC10 Team Car :D

Pics to follow when I get my hands on it.

I don't really like the sickly paint finish of some aftermarket parts, so I bought this to " Blot Out The Blue".

It was delicately delivered by Hermes.

IT DOES LOOK LIKE THEY TRIED TO "DROP" IT MORE THAN 5 times, I know those are just sorting codes, but I find it funny enough there on the label.

HONESTLY, that box is of a sturdy type as you can see the corner crushing took the beating they put it through, but they, the shipper, not Hermes per se, could have done you both a favor and put some more substantial padding inside so it wouldn't have caved in. Just ask some folks about my shipping methods, I put corner guards into boxes so it won't get get overly abused during transit, but I did work for FedEx a stint before 9/11 and learned just how "delicately" we handled the packages, no matter what the box had marked on it. If anything, I learned how to pack properly to be ready for anything, including Ace Ventura delivery persons.

The inevitable happened:

I wanted a lunchbox shell for another project so I picked up a cheap black edition shell for this build, I thought it might be a little different to have the black shell but yellow version wheels and stickers. Plus I don't really have to paint it which is good because it's bound to get scratches on it within seconds of first driving it.

Sounds like a good colour scheme! Did you also just buy some WT01 mixed parts from me? I'm posting to Bridgend today ;)

A few pics of the RC10 Team Car that arrived yesterday

It would be really interesting running that against the new cars to see how much things have improved...or not

Really nice looking car, I didn't know them back in the 80s but would love one now

I talked myself out of buying a crawler, started looking at M06s, and somehow ended up with a TT02.

M06 is a great chassis once you add the alloy m chassis dampers and M or S grip tyres on the front.

Today the postie bought me the wrangler body for my QD, and a bunch of shims for my m-chassis cars.

I really wanted to get this one haven't been able to justify it to myself yet.

Please do a build log to push me over the edge. I have a soft spot for Subaru and really like that shell.

I've sworn myself to buy something with big tyres that can do some jumps next.  Of course I also said that about 4 cars ago.  If Tamiya decide to whip up an M08 my resolve will crumble in a heartbeat.

Although I'm still working out my plans for the TT02 chassis I might do something worthy of a build log.  It's going to be a nightmare applying all those decals but I think the Subaru body is superb.  I won't be doing it until the weather here gets warmer, and even then I've got several other bodies waiting for paint.  I might need you to get one and do a build thread to keep me motivated.  :D

Trust me you don't want that in the states, it goes straight to your waist and stays put!

Did the pics not show?

G Made 93mm Piggyback Shocks from Fusion Hobbies + free Haribo. I had ordered the Aeration version from them in July but stock wasn't forthcoming (still global shortage) so paid the extra for the piggyback ones they had in.
