And last but by no means least.... now I am currently in the process of trying to build my very own Tiger Striped Escort Cosworth but when this came up for sale I couldn't resist it..... it looks all original..... a car I thought I would never own as I detested my Manta Ray trying to handle a brushless system, and I believe this is the same chassis just in touring car guise.... is it a TA01 or TA02?

TBH I only bought it for the box and shell and to own  a rare iconic car that I absolutely  loved when I was youngster... atleast I own the toy version of the Cossie now :)

Love the tyres, but these are not glued and have no foams in them and now have flat spots from siting for years in the same place... I will try to revive them somehow.

Plans for this one?? Who knows... should I attempt to restore the shell and decals?? SHould I give the whole chassis a strip down, rebuild/grease the diffs and get it running again with a nice,  easy on the drivetrain,  27t motor running on nimh batteries... It would be nice to have two Cossies!

Time will tell.

Strip it and paint it red😉

No mate, I don't go for the battered kit. That F103/04 though is mint, hardly looks used must be worth 3-4x what I paid at least.

lol that battered Cossie cost me more than the mint FF02!

And yes you got a blinding deal on that F1 thingy ;)

Todays arrivals - what started out as a few SRB spares in the shopping basket turned into 60% of a fighting buggy..

It's been a while since I've been on here. Finally got my Hornet up and running, and bought a few things since then. Recently purchased two helis - one CP and the other FP - as well as a Carisma M14 Ford GT which looks great but doesn't run just yet.

Just won this today also. It looks to be an Ultima of some type with a random nitro engine and pipe that I can't make out. I guess I'll find out in a week or so :).

I think I once did a back to back test with a silver can and a sport Tuned motor and did find the black canned sport Tuned motor was faster... so they could be a nice gentle speed upgrade at the cost of a shorter life over a silver an from other posts I've read ( softer brushes, advanced timing but both 27t)

If my F103GT needs a bit more oomph I might get one of these.

I put one on my old thunder dragon. Great fun for that. I put it in my dark impact but not sure they have a enough power for modern stuff. I found the handling is hugely better on my DI so it didn't feel fast enough. The TD is a lot less nimble so found the sports tuned was plenty enough.

1060 and a 3s lipo! 🙄

Turns out (pardon the pun) the unknown reedy motor is a bit much for the 1060 esc in the boomerang, ( it still works, just cuts out every now and then, even after it got hot enough to melt the solder on the connection!) ,so , if you're planning on parting with one?

First delivery of the week.

Paid more than I should but it is McRae's car and I recall from one I had when they came out a very challenging body set to paint and sticker so makes up for the over simplistic TL01 build.

Great body! not that difficult to paint or decal.

just be mindful of the masking the blue behind the black strip that runs from below McRae down to the rear wheel arch as you can see the blue through the red decal!

Cheers, I prob won't be building it though.

Second delivery of the week also turned up from Modellbau Seidel with the upgraded juggernaut gearboxes and some KBF / Bush Devil Parts.

Also see Tamico has got the Grasshopper II at 59 Euro this week as their offer. Not quite as epic as the Swift deal but that's some cheap of roading.

These arrived! Vintage Ranger grille/bumpers are mine at last!

Maybe I can get around to rebuilding the front corners after all these years. The problem is that the left side is bad...

... but the right side is really bad or, more to the point, really absent! :o

As can be seen in the first pic, one screw point is missing from the rear bumper and the opposing side has become a through-and-through. I'm fairly sure I can fix those, as well as the usual/expected road rash, but redoing the chrome afterwards is gonna be a difficult job to get right. I've not really had much practice with chrome paints but I've got both the Alclad and Molotow chromes to try out so one of them has to work, right?

If you are able to make large "dummy" blanks for those front wings, it would help out every Blackfoot driver and such as they break off in no time when you drive and flip. My Ranger is currently missing that lower valance or whatever you would like to call it and I have no skills to tackle that work, so I wish you luck and hope for the future of 3D printing to take over and make these a cut and paste repair in the future.

Sadly, I'm going to have to rebuild it by hand with styrene before I can 3D model it. I've tried to just 3D it but can't seem to figure out what I'm doing with it.

I love the look of the TL01 chassis with its implied simplicity, I've yet to get my roller TL01 moving yet but I hope it performs well as this might be my chosen chassis to build an on road collection around... nice kit box you got there too, I prefer getting boxes with my cars now aswell.

Delivery day 2. Bought from the chap who won the original auction the other day but for £50 less due to buyers remorse.

Box really is not in great shape but the kit is ready to be built and I'm building this one.

Obviously got damp, prob in garage and loft. Plenty of dead spiders and dirt in it but it's all sealed to the blisters including the body set fixed to the backing. The contents is very well preserved once you get through the initial.....

White end bell blister pack Lotus Honda 99T 58068 so a nice early one.
