Got the paint today for what will be in my Christmas box. Decided to paint my Bush Devil 2 in Scooby blue as my son is going for box art black and silver.

Anyone have a link to scooby rally car decals (the yellow ones)

Sorry for the late reply. Here is a close up of the tire cover.

THANK YOU, that certainly changes the look of the spare tire, can’t remember anyone else posting one up like it, but then I forget a bunch of things these days. Lol

Not quite the postie but the Tesco delivery guy.

My Tamiya Man Bench is now complete, I finally own the one true essential in RC life. 😁

Not today obviously but last week these arrived :) Spotted them being sold as a job lot on eBay. I don't know if they were listed badly or if nobody was buying so close to Christmas but I somehow managed to buy them (including postage) for less than I paid for the second FF01 Rolling chassis I bought a while ago :o

So what are they?

Well I've managed to bag myself a TL01 with no shocks.

A well used TA03.

But my favourite out of the three. Another FF01 (with no shocks). In mint condition no less :) From what I can see this one has never been run! Not a mark on it.

The three side by side :)

Chances are the TL01 and TA03 will go back on eBay in the new year as I have no desire to keep them, and no space for them either.

All 5 packs I ordered were pretty well balanced. Worst discrepancy was 0.03v

I've only cycled 2 packs a couple of times so far but they worked great. That was a 5200mah 2s hard case and a 3000mah 3s soft case.

And like I'd hoped, the latter ones just about fit into legacy battery compartments with enough space for a little plastic from an ice cream tub/bottle or what have you wrapped around for protection. Probably about as high a capacity 3s as you could fit in those old battery compartments.

I doubt I'll use them in old stuff for every day use but great for experiments and special occasions.

I've storage charged both of mine, not bothered checking anything else, as the general consensus is they're not bad for the cash.

How often should you check the lipo storage charge? I've some I've not run for almost a year.

I've seen all sorts of opinions from months to years. The makers themselves often say the packs only have a useful life of 3 years but then you get people saying they have decade old packs working fine.

I would say just check/cycle them twice a year. Somewhere in the middle of all the various opinions.

In theory, if I set the charger to storage charge, it should bleep to say it's charged, or at least only take a few minutes to top them up.

Ideally I should be using the things!! 🙄

I think I have seen Mr. Crispy's photo from the web in the spring.  This was one of the sparks that rekindled my interest in RC this year.  Good acquisition!

Servo arrived. Another piece of the build puzzle ticked off the list.

Just need transmitter/receiver and battery/charger now.

Today the postie brought me an axial scx10 ii, a turnigy ts-910 high voltage servo and a few wee sundries like servo horns and bullet connectors. All I need now is some time to start the build.

I have the YR steering kit in my M05. It's a nice improvement over the stock pieces.

I'm looking forward to installing that kit into this M05 chassis that showed up on my doorstep today!
