I have the 3000kv motor of that and its a good motor, my DT03 goes well with it over 30mph on 2s. The esc is rather huge though

Yes it was you who posted about it that put it on my radar thanks, it looks different and being waterproof why not, glad your one is holding up well, this will run on 2s lipo too cheers ;)

I put it in my lunchbox for a bit, made it do lots of acrobatic tricks!

Oh, I just saw that, blast these old eyes of mine. I had to go buy an “old man’s”visor style magnifier for working on the small stuff.  I too hope you see one soon enough, it seems that distribution is confusing at best for the year 2017 and I don’t know if it will improve soon or not. It doesn’t help that I think there is literally only one, maybe two HCT per case of 72 cars!!!?

i say the same as you but i think their a a growing number of people that just grab all the ones in the box and then sell them to make money selling them on e-bay that's what i think the seller i brought this of is doing.i am on a hotwheels community on g+ and when certain members do this they get slated for doing it.plus i have seen some cars packed with wheels missing also

This is my other passion hot wheels! There's a black version coming out I think in the G case? I always buy one euro card and one American card on my hot wheels the white one is the first of a new casting!

yeah i have only been collecting them for about 13 years but i only buy what i like tbh and the only full set that i have is a recent find of 8 mustang ones from poundland

That's a good find I only found 4 of them in my Poundland:) I'm the same as you I only get what I like (I tend to go for American muscle cars) but our choice over hear is very poor:mellow:!

Good call;)  i did similar in Tesco a while ago one of the female staff had a box of 72 in her hand and I asked her if she would let me put them on the pegs for her so I could go through them! She looked a bit bemused:blink: but she said "yeah fill ya boots"

Finally arrived, battered, bruised, filthy, & ready for restoration! I've not looked at it properly yet but it looks like only a couple of parts are needed all bodywork) & I've got most of them already so it's not too bad. It also came with a hump pack batt which was a bonus, no ideas what electrics are fitted yet, but there's definitely something in there! If anyone has any of the below parts give me a shout!

Front grill,

Windscreen (might convert a rere screen)

Willys right arm,

Willys boots!

Nice find!

Today, a set of 26 mm touring car wheels:

It will be a while yet before I can get the tires and foams, but in the meantime I will be looking around for different compounds and tread types. They still need the decals, too, as this is a set for a JGTC car.

Another Willy saved from neglect!  Good for Willy!

Willy driver figure is not hard to find from Hong Kong.  It comes with the headlamps and winch, so that's rather convenient.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tamiya-54496-RC-WR02-Driver-Figure-Full-Body-58242-Wild-Willy-2-2000-L-Parts/351742210947?epid=1847398058&hash=item51e5783383:g:TtUAAOSwcwhVNg7J

I saw the front grill from Shapeways:    https://www.shapeways.com/product/B367MAGAQ/tamiya-wild-willy-m38-grill-panel?optionId=57186573

Unfortunately, M38's windshield isn't easy to find.  Wild Willy 2's wild screen is a bit different from the original M38.  Actually, it is the roll bar that is different. WW2 has a screw hole. You'd have to find a way to secure it.  I wonder if you could attach the white hinge pieces to WW2 windshield... the same person who sells the front grill also have the hinge pieces in Shapeways.

Good Luck with your restoration.

Thanks for the info. I went looking through my spares boxes & found a couple of new Willys that I must have ordered ages ago & forgot about. With regards to the windscreen I think I'm going to modify a rere version with a Dremel to allow the hinges to fit, I have found a couple of originals online but they are way overpriced considering they both have the wiper part snapped off.

I pre empted with this that I'd need a LH windscreen hinge before this turned up and managed to source a pair, took them out the envelope they arrived in and typically the LH that I need is damaged so it can't be used, so if anyone wants to swap a RH hinge for a LH....

Just delivered from eBay; NIB DF-03 MS, carbon chassis, and a custom painted body. 😁😁

Now, shall I use the carbon fibre chassis and some spares to make a DF-03 touring car? I've already got a DF-03ra rally car...

Not normally one for touring cars, but i like the idea of doing things that haven't been done before. Give it a go i reckon.

Would you eventually sell on the painted body or are you going to keep it?

This little beauty arrived earlier today not the bargain of a life time but I was happy:rolleyes: I could have paid a little more and got one which was still in its shrink wrapping but when i buy a car I always intend to build it and that would be a shame if its all kept wrapped up!, I've wanted one since 2013 when it was re-re'd when it had to pass me by:unsure: because of house renovations quotes that bear no resemblance to the actual bill I paid at the end of the renovations:blink:! The 11t super modified arrived 30 mins after and will look pretty cool in itB)
