Postman brought my 5 months old first Tamiya today! He’ll be 10 months old when he gets it at Christmas, but I still reckon you’re never too young for your first Tamiya 😁

A Bolink lexan sand scorcher body I'm going to put on my Stadium Thunder to make it a Blitzer Beetle.

Nice. Did you get that from oldrc.com (sabulatech on eBay)?

Not rc... But a couple of replacement woofers I ordered came today and the one is scrap the other is a flesh wound both are no good tbh thanks to white van douch bag driver and parcel handling douch's contacted seller and awaiting reply. I know one thing.... I ain't forking out for return costs as the packaging was useless. the top pic with the slight damage is worse than it looks as the whole speaker is unlevel /twisted and the second pic the damage  has caused the voice coil to rub.

Thanks to a very good contact in japan I got this little bundle of goodness😁 had to pay customs duty though😬 but still come out on top (without getting political it's making me wonder if there is no deal on Brexit it's going to get quite expensive for folks if everything has to have import duty added to it🤔) anyway over the moon with this body and book the photo don't do it justice to how " blingy "😎 it is!,  the 3s Lipo is for my losi rock Rey which is a total animal and unbelievably tough!

Another RCJaz order for me today. Sanwa RX47T receiver which is tiny. I ordered it for the new buggy but will put it in my TRF102 because of the size. Tamiya masking sheets, which I won't need for ages since my new body is reinforced with shoo goo and fibreglass tape. Arrowmax shock pliers and the 3mm hex driver. Pretty much all set now for the HB817 build, just an engine to find.

I  love how sanwa has all those nice receivers. I was looking at the stand up receivers like the RX481 with inbuilt antenna. But apparently I may only use RX-37E, RX-371 and RX-442FS with my MXV. So I have orderd the 371.

They make great gear but its pricey. I have a 451, 462, 472 and 47T and the 47T would be my pick because its so small. It was also the cheapest I could find,  the size was a pleasant surprise. Those ones with builtin antenna would be great, I don'thave any because of the cost, they are over $100 each, I think retail is actually something like USD119 which is the price of a MX-V or 3PV which include a rx as well.

The postman brought the Futaba battery checker I bought for my Dad. Then Dad gave me iMax B6 Charger that he had laying around & doesn’t use. Nice. LiPo here we come. 👍🏻

Losi shock oils! 6 more bottles. For some reason Losi are like everyone and charge about $15 per bottle, but sell sets of 6 for about $40 delivered. I already had 17.5 - 42.5wt in 5wt increments, so ordered 20 - 45wt so now I have 17.5wt - 45wt in 2.5wt increments. Should be sorted for a long time, and with 12 bottles I bet I have full ones in a few years time.

When my wife agreed to the 8th buggy i've gone a bit crazy on extras because I figure I'm spending heaps so heaps plus a bit more is fine right?

Started collecting the Group C bodies I like. Two R91CPs, Mazda 787B body sets. Two Group C cockpit sets - I had to buy the 2nd R91 body to get one of these. these are all show specials from Japan. They're somewhere in between vintage and re-re - they have all the sponsors on, no missing Goodyear like the R91 re-re, but have overspray film unlike the originals. They are undrilled, yay! No pre-cut arches though and there's no mould line to follow on the 787B so that looks like it might be fun...

Alfa 155 wheels, another undrilled Peugeot 306 Maxi and an Audi A4 STW body set which I've never seen come up for sale before so very happy to get that :D

I think the sun will be out for a long time after this. I have discussed all the major expenses with her - kit, servos and now engine, but when she sees the total go out of the bank account later in the month I wonder if she has been keeping track or it will come as a shock...I should have paid invoices as they came in, but he said not to worry until the end of August as thats when he'll supply it all.

Hey, at least hes throwing in 'free' HB Racing t shirt!
