I got em from wish, so not sure who the seller is.. these seem’s to be ok, but one of them are made to have the gasoline lid nearby, not sure if that is the case with the hilux that they have the intake beside the rear wheel arches?

Soooooo, I've been having a bit of a spend up recently. I've always been aware of the FF01 and FF02 chassis' but it's only in the last few months that the FF03 was brought to my attention. Cue me jumping on eBay to see what sort of money they were and then buying this last week :)

Its come all the way from Japan and took less than a week to arrive!

It will go on my list of kits to be built which fit somewhere in between my aged list of projects haha. I'll also be keeping an eye out for any choice hop ups for it too :)

I've been waiting for a package to arrive after tracking said it arrived in the country 8 days ago, but I'm on the brink of giving up and re-ordering.  It made it through a dozen tracking points across America but couldn't survive New Zealand Post.  I wanted to get the XV01 outside this weekend after a long wet winter.  :(

A hat with a go pro mount, this add's at least 3 points to my coolness meter. My wife said bless ya when I showed her a pic I think that means its a good thing?

We, men, think so.  But according to women, "bless ya" means, "oh, you big dope."  And if you translate that yet again, it means, "I love you, even though you are silly."

So... yeah, I'll take that.  (I know, why do women say things that need double-translations!)

By the way, IT IS a cool hat!

Two jiffy bags popped through my letter box! Actually the diff came special delivery and I'm a bit embarrassed on how much I paid for it😞 but they are needle in hay stacks now so I suppose it's that good old saying we have in the UK that comes with "ripoff Britain" and that's "supply and demand" but still leaves a bitter taste🤔! The sport tuned I got for a tenner😉

XV01 Diff parts arrived today.  I was about to re-order them but it turns out that NZ Post needed almost 2 weeks to get them here.  At least they're here at last.  Oddly enough the gaskets are brown instead of the usual green hue.  I assume they're fine.  Maybe a new manufacturing process?

Today the postman brought me two sets of aluminium arms. One set for my FF01 Speed Run build and another set for my TA02 RWD Speed Run build along with an aluminium motor mount for the TA02 as well :)

My first delivery was my GPM parts order. The C hubs and alloy steering are for my FF01 FRP project and the knuckles are possibly wrong it turns out. I obviously wasn’t paying attention when I ordered them and went for TA01 rather than TA02.

My second delivery was the TA06 diffs that I bought from eBay the other day. They’re brand new and it was cheaper to buy the pair than to buy one. One of them will be going into my FF03 when I eventually get round to building it :)

Delivery number three was an exciting one :) Although I think any delivery from Tamico is exciting :) These are the Yeah Racing upgrades for my FF03. I’m really excited about building this one and all the bits that are available are even more exciting haha!

Second was a collection of FF03 bits from eBay. I actually only wanted the shafts but it was all or nothing and cost next to nothing anyway :)

How do you find the arrowmax bits? I have just ordered the same ones in the hope that they are as good as the purple Arrowmax tools

They are good.

This is how it looks after re-adjusting one stubborn pinion for like 14 times.

Used vs unused.  You can see that it lost some teeth.

Should you be disappointed?  Not so fast.

Here is a carving test with an OLFA blade.  Arrowmax was almost as hard as the OLFA blade.  Because the blade got the same amount of damage.  (I have a high regard for these Japanese blades)  The black Allen wrench just got carved in one stroke.  After 4 tries, Arrowmax bit only got 1/5th of the damage.  It's probably 20 times as hard as the Allen wrench.

I have a cheap "Gorilla grip, made in USA" imperial hex wrenches.  They got carved up just as easily.  The only thing that seemed harder was a German Wiha Phillips #1 screwdriver.  It works a better than Tamiya #1 screwdriver.  It should be "Phillips" but it performs like JIS.  Wiha might be harder than Tamiya.  The Phillips is new, but I've had the Flathead Wiha for 20 years, and the thing is hardly rounded after all the prying and twisting I've done to it.  The only downside is that it's too skinny.  But you don't want to tighten M2 screws too hard.  Tamiya #1 JIS can't grab M3 screws properly.  On M3, Wiha grabs better, even though the handle is skinnier.

Anyway, thumbs up for Arrowmax and Wiha for standing up to the OLFA carving test.
