I did nit notice then that these tires doesnt come with inserts. So I had to order today blue m chassis inserts from rcmart, they were on sale for 1,90$ and with that... Also some servo connectors to shorten some wires on my xray. A 6$ order haha

Tease!

I shudder to think how much they cost you going off what I got quoted for two new ones for my ST off Ford.

Can't say I fault you having it tucked away. A rare sight now but never fails to raise a smile when I see one in the wild. Last one I spotted was going the opposite way on the A635 towards Holmfirth. Making progress shall we say!

i would say around £250 +vat

as thats what i got quoated for a new wheel for my st also

Close.

£276 all in each. Plus centre caps which if memory serves were around £10 each. This early was last year.  In the end I found four centres on eBay for £25 and had all the wheels refurbed. As good as new to me and a lot more money left in the bank!

center caps are £25 each but when i took my st to ford for new brakes all round about 9 years ago they ruin'd all of them by pulling them off with out the centre cap tool witch i left on the  passenger seat and also told the service manager where it was and what it was used for as be did not know what it was when i showed him:o so i went to work and when i came back at the end of the day i saw them as i went and had him over it and he said they was like it when i took it in even thought i showed him when i droped it of. the stupid idiot mech just got his fingers behind them and pulled them witch then creased them. so i made him replace them at the cost of over £100 to them at cost plus i got some cash back from the work they did as the brakes n pads cost me nearly £900 i then used them for about a year and took them off when another ford came in part ex at the place where i was working at the time with the same centre caps and i swoped them with the one ford nackerd and put them on my car where they are still on the wheels so i have the nearly new set still put away to keep

Wow. I would have gone mental.

I wont use my local Ford for anything other than parts. Any work I don’t want to or can’t do myself I go to a specialist. Fortunate to have two very highly regarded ones nearby and not a massive drive to Collins or Motorsport Development if need be.

The postman brought this for my boss in fact but was out off office and allowed me to open! Lovely car, very envious. 1aT7RCV.jpg

Stunning! I have never seen an inboard rear suspension on a touring car before - I guess this is what a boss' salary can buy!

Meanwhile, more electronic equipment and one soon-to-be-indispensable tool:

I have all the light kits I could want at this point, and a small stock of spare servos. The ESC and red servo are for an upcoming build, and the pit stand is something that I have waited too long to acquire!

The snow piles up outside - I have what I need to bide some more time before painting season...

As I'm looking at these wheels I'm watching wheeler dealers the one with the blue escort cosworth👍😎 and I'm thinking we all need to see the car that these wheels are getting married to?

It upsets me when I watch them butcher the rear spoiler😨

They're replacement wheels, saves having to get the originals refurbed.

Which I probably will anyway!

Yeah I must admit the jury's out (very much out) on that rear 3 piece wing thing🤔 but the oz alloys I definitely like👍 it's what Ford put on the limited edition monte and that was and still is probably in the top 3 of the best looking hot hatches ever made (IMO)

@svenb @moffman seeing as we are having a cossie appreciation thing going on(!) have you seen Ken Blocks latest?

I know it’s designed for a specific purpose but really not feeling it personally.

Thanks to @Finman, All Metal Frog has a new home

I have never seen an all metal Frog chassis before. Is this an aftermarket?

I had a Subaru Brat which I converted to Frog back in '87. How I wish we had these aftermarket parts back then. The Frog/Brat chassis has a weak point and I replaced chassis twice. Broke on the same spot every time so I bought the under chassis plate and did a few mods to reinforce the new 3rd chassis.

By the way, can you post more detailed pics please? Thanks! :)
