The "Postman Brought Me" Thread

Recommended Posts

I nearly bought some of those Plasma Edge II rims myself, but resisted the urge!

Today I got a nice-but-rather-tatty Jeep Wrangler bodyshell, which I won on eBay a week ago for £40.

It once sported a nifty stars-and-stripes paintjob by the looks of it, but has since been treated to a pretty poor "blackout" paintjob. I'm not really sure why I bought it now. It doesn't quite fit on my CC02 without another adapter, and I think I want my CC02 to have a D90 bodyshell which I also recently bought. So I might stick this on one of my other CC01s. It needs a lot of love.

Today the postman (well Hermes courier) delivered a box with a lot of bubble wrap in it.

To be honest the box was a bit big for the amount of bubble wrap. Fortunately @jonboy1 had thought of that and, to prevent the bubble wrap being damaged, he had filled the extra space with this...

Now, I just need to figure out where to put a receiver and how to get a battery in!

Fixed the title finally, capitalized the Postman.

Been away a long while, I'm late to the party with this one, I couldn't resist when I stumbled upon the release of this special baby !

I though you meant IPA beer in your other posts-  literally having a pint whilst stripping the paint off the shell

Sand Viper is actually already built (with a different paint job: https://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?/topic/94219-metallic-paint-backing-technique-question/&do=findComment&comment=803323) and I'm loving it

Love the sand viper, TF has been a bomb proof runner.

Thundershot A parts minus the A5. Picked up on ebay for a song. It would seem that the bonus flupside of having my Super A5 installed is that fresh new gearbox plastics are cheap and easy to get! OG Thunder Dragon will be getting some nice new plastics.
