How much of a hotshot is there? let me know if you wanna get rid as you already have too many projects... haven't you :)

How much of a hotshot is there?

Good question !

Assuming they are of reasonable / useable condition then i reckong i might just need to buy transmission parts. Nearly a year since i did my Hotshot rebuild so its going to take a bit of familiarisation lol!

there's always a deal to be done lol :)

Good question !

Assuming they are of reasonable / useable condition then i reckon i might just need to buy transmission parts.

A quick assessment shows..

For Super Shot..

unmarked mechanism box complete with steering servo, servo saver, ball connectors and the two steering rods n ball ends, body mounts

Unmarked front and rear gearbox halves complete with drive cups (missing one 2x28mm shaft)

Minimally marked front upper and lower wishbones, turnbuckles, metal ball plates etc (complete units in effect)

Similar wishbones and axle cups at rear

Main chassis section with nicely details driver figure, body mounts and battery end plates

Complete roll 'cage section with window netting, metal roof and original enamel wire

Rear CF damper stay and stay mount

Rear spoiler and mounting bracket

So missing..

All gearbox internals (gears, shafts, set plates, thrust bearing, propeller joints etc) - got a few minor bits in the spares box

Wheel axles/outer drive cups

Drive shafts x4

Propeller shaft

anti roll bars

Upper and lower front shock absorber stays - may have to get on the blower to radshape for some brackets !

Battery plate and post

Dampers (already got a set spare from an incomplete Hotshot hop-up suspension set)

Wheels drive triangles (got a set in the spares box)

Wheels - have some normal white Hotshot ones spare, and some i painted 'chrome'

No underguard or front bumper - again maybe radshape

So on that basis, and using some re-re Hotshot, and some radshape brackets i reckon i could get a runner modded Hotshot for another £50

Also included were..

new Thunder Dragon front bumper (lol! just posted my TD off to its new owner today!)

Falcon lower front wishbones

good 540 Mabuchi motor

Rough Rider driver figure

Another driver figure attached to part of a cabin rear wall so maybe from a Ranger XLT ?

And most importantly the SuperChamp roof, rear cage loop, roll over hoop and rear FS plate.

Good buy for once :)

The DB01R will finally up and running again and my Losi SCTE will finally see some action for the very first time with a Tekin RX8 ESC and Pro4 4 pole brushless.

I received 2 pairs of 80mm shocks for my Lunchbox to replace the cheap, 5-dollar, leaky and over sprung 85mm shocks I had.

I've already installed 2 in the back with 40 weight shock oil -- love the handling now.

:o its more a case of what the postman didnt bring ..i bought a M03 in good nick ( by the pics ) of fleabay for $25 plus $21.85 postage , in the first week of december from western australia . after 2 weeks i contacted the seller , who said he would ring austpost to find whats happened but in the mean time give it a bit longer .. well after 4 emails , all of which he said basicly the same thing , i asked him for a copy of the receipt from the post office as it was send '' registered post '' . welll since then (1 week ago ) i havn't heard from him so i started a dispute against him through PAYPAL .

it really sucks but i thought it was too good a deal to be true ....me thinks he thought $25 was too cheap to sell it for and kept it .. but thats only my opinion .. :D

Doesn't mean he has to be a w@nker about it; could have come clean and asked to cancel the transaction if he wasn't prepared to face up to his obligations

From the reports about Aus Post on this forum, anything could happen !

Sounds like the seller didn't send - if they weren't happy with the deal it would have been easier to just say so, and resolve it amicably.

I have had the same problem , with MO5 minis two of them with hop ups for $112. + freight . Guess what , they never turned up .

That was in 2010 B4 December . I knew it was to cheap . I had to go through paypal to get my money back .

Paypal will refund your money . Good luck .

on another problem ! my xr311 arrived after a week by express post , it only had to travel 1600k's , so that about 110 k's a day , not bad for next day delivery ! ..lol . it was a ex shop display model of 2000 vintage , all there and in very good condition , they could have brushed the dust and cobwebs off ! , with all the left overs and unassembled driver . to my dismay , no windscreen , only a canopy .

i rung the shop and enguired , told the dude in charge of shipping was off that day but the girl said the manager would ring me , he did only to say the shipping guy would ring me tomorrow . true enough , he did and told me that the pleg that packed it the car took the windscreen and canopy off , he broke the screen off the canopy and left it out of the box and packaging and then just slipped it in the outter wrapping !!! i told him the wrapping was in the recylcing bin had been collected ! well it came down to a refund , a $50 discount or they try to order a new windscreen assembly . i told them that i found a assemble in the uk for 33 pound ! they said they would give me a refund . ilater that day i went out side and found that my lasy assed brother hadn't put the wrapping in the bin ! after a frantic shredding of thewrapping i found it ! oh joy of joys , some was turning out ok ! i rang frontier hobbies in newcastle and told them , so now every body is happy and i only have to finish painting a few little bits and the xr311 will live ! .. great result ..

^ I have a Fly Sky GT3 model. I love it and recommend FlySky to anyone, especially considering how cheap extra receivers are. Hobby King makes a reciever for one of their models which works with both the GT3 and GT3b (the ones with the transmitters that bind to the receivers with failsafe). Great value radio controllers!

The only thing about them is that the receivers don't have BEC. So when using higher voltages, one must be careful to use a BEC or use an ESC with BEC incorporated. I find, however, that without a BEC, the receivers can handle 7.2 volt batteries fully charged, no problems.

Today I received an extra gear set (counter gears and shafts included) for my Lunch Box. They were a steal at 11 dollars shipped so I bought it as a back up.

I also have a 12 dollar set of LB wheels waiting to be picked up at the PO. I bought it for the same reason -- a steal at 12 dollars. I'll paint them black.
