Fresh TT02 upgrades

IMG-1606.jpg

All intended for the TT02 RWD Rally. Must resist redirecting the steering set to the drifter :D

This is RCMart from the 10th of August. Still no sign of the two orders from the 5th of July :(

7x Flysky receivers for my new GT5 radio.

Of course said radio hasn't actually arrived yet

These seem pretty cool, footprint is very small and they have built-in gyro apparently.Screenshot_20200901-233415_Gallery.thumb.jpg.3ddcb449058e4355943c4e507c4bf252.jpg

Hopefully a step closer to finishing my trail truck - got a battery for it!

I have also got a chrome pen to try out - 2mm.
The trail truck battery will be fun to try. Depending on how I get on, might go LiPo in the future.

More RCMart goodies today

5-A5-C2-B90-3-A0-A-47-AE-AD6-D-95-B06-E7

Servo mount is already on the TT02SD to replace the cracked stock ones.

The rest is targeted for the TT02 Rally, or the XV01 to go with the Yaris body.

Number plates were a trial, based on someone here’s recent purchase. Seem nice so far, I think they’ll end up on my Unimog.

Got a lovely haul yesterday - Modelsport swapped over the incorrect servo super quick last week, so I've just been waiting for the ESC to arrive - which came yesterday!!!

So, along with the ESC came a carbon reinforced M parts tree for the Durga, and a Monster Racer body set from TBG :)

I painted the Durga bodyshell over the weekend too, so I'm super close to getting this running @Peter_B;)

It’s like Christmas here, I’m glad I’m working from home and the wife was out when this arrived:

Oops!

So what’s in the box(es)?!

First up, from RCJaz:

That’s a Sand Viper body, TRF201 front springs (for my XV01) and a Nissan GTR body, which I don’t have a chassis for yet

Next box:

911 RSR Carrera body, again I’m not sure what chassis this is going on, needs to be one of my TT01s due to the wheelbase, which means moving one of the other body’s to something else...

Next!

Nice little haul from RCMart, last remaining bits I allow me to build another MF01X out of all the leftover parts I had, some BBS style wheels for my FD RX7 body, solid diff for my XV01 and aluminium steering arms, wheels and tyres for my XV01 also.

I wasn’t keen on the TE37 Rims the previous owner installed, they don’t look ‘off-road’ enough...

Better? What does Tamiyaclub think?

I prefer the lower wheels but they still don't look quite Audi enough!

Regarding the wheelbase for the porsche body, most chassis's can be adjusted to suit a 251mm body👍

Sweet haul!!

I prefer the original rims, they look more 'Audi', the new ones look a bit more 'Escort Cosworth'

I agree - prefer the lower ones :)

I’ve got some 5-spoke white wheels coming too, which will better match what the original had. Will post those up once they arrive...

In other news, I didn’t quite avoid the wrath of my wife! The postman returned with another one once she got home from work

I have DF02 bits, A parts, universals, propshaft, front knuckles.

For my XV01; reinforced K parts and knuckles, a heat sink fan, GF01 alloy dampers, carbon bumper supports, some new ball connectors and some pinions.

Other random bits and bobs.

Now I’ve really no excuse not to build something!

The good news is that postage services seem to have massively sped up over the last fortnight, those orders from RCMart only took 2 weeks to show up!

... Or maybe our recent purchases have gotten RCMart flush with cash and they've opened up their own express delivery service!

I just placed a $150 order from RCMart an hour ago :lol:

I got a couple of those cheap Chinese rebuildable motors that are often rebranded by companies for a not insignificant sum.

They are for my latest Nikko truck project both to add a smidge of speed but just as importantly to look cool. Since converting it to 540 motors, the motors are naturally a lot more visible so I thought I might as well put something pretty there.

I'm not expecting a huge speed boost over the 27T Mabuchis but I only want a small boost anyway. The chassis is primitive and can't handle big power but from driving it a bit and checking temps etc, I feel like it could handle a teeny bit more zip.

Spent 5 or so minutes searching Aliexpress and came up with a great price for 2!

Only took a week to arrive too! I think the stock must have already been in the UK or at least Europe. Not complaining either way.
