@dannymulder what are the specs/tooth count on that steering horn in bottom right side? What part number does it have? I'm looking at having options for the lunchbox steering. I got one solution with reinforced plastic, a metal horn+arm arriving. I think I missed seeing that hop up option. That steering horn style seems to be kryptonite for me in getting what fits.

The part number is 54159 but it is only  the alloy horn not a complete servo saver, you have to buy the tamiya high torque servo saver to make a complete servo saver out of it.

Thank you for the reply, I do have a high torque servo saver but the gear mesh part doesn't fit my 25t steering gear even though I ordered the 25t model... don't know if the sent smaller model or bad milling quality control. The gear mesh part is circular in form with center spline and the other half has the horn. I ordered a different horn design but it also arrives with hop up arm so it's not a complete waste if it don't fit.

Some unusual purchases over time.

3QTdArV.jpg

I'd say these "parts" were necessary to browse and post stuff on TC.  So I'm putting these under "RC expenditure."

I never built a computer before.  But it works, fortunately.  Not the fastest stuff, it does the job.  It felt complicated but it took less time than building a Grasshopper.  Now that I've built it once, I don't know if I ever want to go back to pre-built stuff.  kd9KBl9.jpg

The other is a real "Tamiya RC."

Just that it's not "Radio Control."  It's "Remote Control (wired)."  It's 3 channel. 1 more than most of my radio controlled stuff.  A bit of a novelty to get me back into RC.

got the over priced fidget spinner in today. its a bit of a bummer when i tried it out but the 3 stickers were a nice addition to my laptop cover :). the spinner has some pretty bad bearing that only spins for 3-4 seconds while any off the shelf that easily goes for 60 seconds or more.. used bearing oil on the thing asap as it barely spun, still doesnt spin for long but maybe it will wear out a bit and be easier. i gotta paint the red on it also, thats just red electric tape... the small one is a tatoo but i dont think it will stick to a lexan body shell... was planning to put it on the slash body.

it turns out there are 2 versions of this fidget spinner, i was unlucky to get the 1st version...

LOL, didnt like the robotics theme? Fair enough and understandable here.

Funny enough, some goodies arrived, DF02 universal shafts that I could plop on the TD, 5mm ball mounts which are spares for the time as the tt02 mounts aren't used with aluminum body shocks. The sport tuned 540 is in for my TD :).  The TD 2021 came with steel dog bones and cups now that I look closer at the kit, oh well.

My postman must be tired of bringing me stuff, my new kit and some other goodies were on the truck and supposed to arrive but I’ve got nothing :(

Second delivery! Going to try strap this on top the Monster Beetle.

Took this photo with my phone oriented in all four directions to get the photo to show up right! I waited for the controls to rotate but for whatever reason I’m doing it wrong haha.

A 58100 Top Force chassis. Not complete, but for a very reasonable price, I think. It seems to be hardly used.

Yes, you're right. But I have to purchase the J parts tree anyway  as some of the J parts missing.

I sometimes have trouble with my iPhone and pic orientation.  Best workaround I’ve found is to take the pic, do a quick edit and crop it slightly, then re-save. For whatever reason, the cropping seems to lock it into the correct orientation.

I never bought anything that I didn't intend to build right away.

It's been new-in-the-boxing for a month. That makes me feel very uncomfortable. I've been waiting for it to be rereleased, I had to get it when it became available.  I won't keep it NIB.  I just have other things to do like fixing the floorboard, varnishing the coffee table, trying to fix the central air, etc.  I hope to build XV01 before leaves turn brown.
