Maybe I’ve just been lucky 🤷🏻‍♂️ I haven’t been hit for a while, the last 10-15 got through undetected so I should count my blessings I guess. I reckon I’m ahead overall but it still stings 😒

I’m waiting on mine from a Eurorc order, all my parts from Japan sneaked in, I guess I’ll be about even now at the end of this round of spending!

Got a Notice from Wheelspin today and i need to pay Tax but not taxhandeling this time (Seems to me like Norway stopped with Tax handling charge+ 200kr as this is the second time im not charged with that). 

Wheelspinn remove vat before sending so its ok but my previous order 2x BatSafe went straight trough, so jackpot there,  i was hoping i found a black hole, but no :).

My best jackpot was when RcMart did not afd the Vat (as they started with for some time ago) and Top-Force kit went straight trough *pling* *pling* *pling*

Edit;My Comical Avante RC from EuroRC i also had to pay Tax, but again no TaxHandeling, so then its ok.,

I had not had any problems with tax from Japan since Brexit. Before Brexit, my hit rate was 50% from Japan and 20% from CH/HK/SG, probably because the Japanese are so honest on their customs form, clearly displaying what and costs. The "better" the delivery service, the more likely to get hit, close to 100% for EMS/DHL/FedEx, 0% for regular surface. 

This had been discussed before and my belief was, all the big China retailers like Aliexpress, etc collect tax for HMRC at the point of sale (not sure how that work, trade deals?). So maybe they now they think that all incoming from Asia are tax paid and do not bother to check at all while focusing on catching the Europeans. 

I have a PJ delivery incoming and is already 3 days late. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the gift of Brexit will keep giving. 

EDIT: Just realised that Postino is Italian for postman so my post is not applicable?

For the first time today picking up the FireStorm tyres shown over i payd Tax from Wheelspin, to my suprise it was also a Recomended sending so i had to show passport, im wondering if that was done so tax was not missed again.

One time throug AliExpress i paid tax (then also hamdeling) Twice, and AliExpress pointed at Posten.no for refund and Posten.no Pointed to Ali, so i just gave up on that one

Sorry, my post refers only to UK and Brexit. I cannot comment on how tax works elsewhere but I suspect EU countries will deliberately make things difficult for UK companies (just look at what they are doing to fishing boats).

Various screws, ceramic balls for the TD4 diffs and then a load of tools that I’ve been meaning to buy for a while instead of pinching stuff from the garage all the time and making do with odds and ends.

 

And after almost a 12 month wait finally a SU carb refurb kit for the 1:1.

Where did you find the TRF Reamer? Been looking for one 👍

The postman actually brought these over the past few weeks but I’ve been out of commission thanks to COVID, so I’m just now getting around to doing things again.

first up a tc-01, I’ve been wanting one for awhile now, don’t know why I’ve waited to get one but finally ordered it . Also got myself a ecopower 13.5 brushless. Wanted to try something different, curious to see if it’s any good.

My third delivery is a vintage f1 kit, which will allow me to use my spare parts as well as the hops ups I ordered long ago but was unable to use, and build another f1 to join my collection of cars that are almost useless since no around here has/races f1 and the roads/parking lots are almost all in terrible condition.

I got this pretty nice M02 in. It's missing the battery holder, which is no big deal. Has very few scratches on the chassis. It also has a Sanwa ESC in it. I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do with it, but I'm glad to have it.

Couple small bits from Tony's Tamiya Parts.

Not exactly R/C related, but I've been trying to figure out how to get really nice and clean shots of smaller items. The room in which I take most of my pictures is very poorly lit, so I grabbed this little light off of Amazon. I'm still learning how to use the camera and everything, but it seems to be a nice little unit.

For the life of me, I couldn't get any decent pictures, but I received the TA03 battery holder from WTCC's Shapeways store, and some 5mm carbon fiber tube.

Yeah, they mark things as "sale" yet they're still more expensive than almost everywhere else.
