As I  reached my parents place,

I finally succeed to get my hands on my second Samurai, which I had requested my father to catch up few weeks ago... It's in decent condition and I'm very happy with it...

A jolly postman in a red suit with a white beard 🎅 bought me this

so now I have rc cars, Lego and Hot Wheels, and I’m only 63!!!

Are those the ebay ones from China? I've been eyeing up a couple of those myself, how do you rate them? Is it a high quality print? Cheers

My 45th Anniversary kit just arrived. I think I'm all set for the year now that I've added it and the Egress.

63! No mate that's still young by today's standards and you only live once if you want it and can afford it get it! My dads 94 and still drives around in a soft top sports car (BMW z whatever?) Not my cup of tea driving around with your a#$e dragging on the floor but he loves it! And who I'm I to say he's wrong🤷‍♂️

Thanks! It is a beauty!

Although this one is in bad shape. The body is painted with a brush and the paint and the decals are peeling off...

Haven't checked the gearbox yet but I'm prepared for the worst.

Chassis seems fine. Not a lot of scratches. Tyres aren't  that bad also. So maybe it isn't used that much.

And maybe the gearbox is fine... .

Think I will strip it first before I run it.

Sounds like a fun restoration ahead! Horses for courses of course but I don’t think I would generally buy a pre-built unless I was going to at least be able to do some tinkering so it felt more “mine”

Sorry another non Tamiya delivery. But at least this has motors, 3 in fact and it’s controlled by a phone app. Should be fun

Got this from Japan just before Xmas, and have only just had a chance to open it. It’s mint, not bad for a kit originally sold in 2003 👍😊
