The "Postman Brought Me" Thread

No and no...... Last try and then i will reveal it to you. I´m 99.9% sure every county had one. The ****** stockpiled a number of the cars for later use after production finished.

Good try everyone. Going to attempt to build a Rover SD1 in Sussex Police livery, like the one below.

If you like the SD1.

British car journalist, does lots on EV cars but loves a "barn find".

I watched that. The Late Brake Show is fantastic.

Some TT02 bits turned up today, 10 days from ordering on eBay with AtyHobbies Hong Kong and they are in my post box 😁

Steering upgrade, low friction balls and Step screws for the TT02R as it’s going to have a Brushless set up and high gear set wearing a MK2 GT body and an Hi-Torque servo saver for the basic Torque Tuned TT02 MK1 Escort set up

Should be good to see the difference between the two set ups.

A few bing parts for the 3R MG Evo, in fact these are the only parts I can find (and spend money on) for it, which actually makes it a rather economical chassis.

That shouldn't be too difficult to mask. Just a suggestion to use fluorescent paints for the strips, will look fantastic with UV light.

Thanks for the tip, i was going to get them as stickers, but i think your right. PS27 Fluorescent yellow looks good, but the red has me a little stumped. There is a PS20 Fluorescent red which I've never seen in the flesh, the metallic red which i have and don´t think is right. Or PS60 mica red glimmer, that I've never seen either.

I´m also waiting on an answer from screen print digital, they would be interested about getting some stickers made up; The lights are wrong, Rover badges, Police crest, Stop Police sign etc etc.

Ah I thought as much. Look forward to seeing it. I’ve done a couple of police vehicles, a German Porsche Cayenne and a CHiPs Wrangler. Have you managed to source the right kind of lights for the roof?

I saw your Polizei Cayenne, looking good :). No, the lightbar is being custom made, a fellow member here is designing it for me using a cad program and i have a 3d resin printer here.

As soon as the body arrives i will start a build thread, im sure those design stages etc will be posted, as all credit for that goes to him.

I had used this.

It is "light" red or dark pink, so can probably "tune" it to the right shade with black or gray backing paint.

My panic bought F1 tyres arrived today, 5 days from Hong Kong. Shipping cost as much as a pair of wheels, but they got here. Ride R1, they're old now but better than nothing if my old Shizimus give up over the weekend.

Also, 6 of these

https://www.rcmart.com/yeah-racing-angle-type-4mm-and-5mm-connector-plug-wpt-0121-00076201

They look too good to be true, can swap between 4mm and 5mm (come with both, they screw in) and little handles to stop my son pulling on the cables. I need more than 6 sets, but thats an excuse for another order later, and soldering is the job I always put off so no doubt next xmas I'll be saying in the 'what did you do today' thread that i swapped bullets over.

They look very handy @Jonathon Gillham.

I received another order of bits and pieces from Tony. Some stuff I need for builds I’m hoping to kick-off soon (FAV driver for my Wild One build) and some to add to existing vehicles (such as the roll bars). The wheels are for an attempt to have more scale wheels on a future GF01 build.
