If only i had the money ! I'm sure its a lucrative business - anything that can keep going in these hard times is a good business.

Now if i hadn't spent all my money on RC ......:blink::rolleyes:

Christmas came early :D

1. Tamiya HiCap dampers F&R for my Astute rework

2. 36 x 730 rubber sealed bearings for the Astute

3. MadCap B parts for the Astute

4. TRF decals for the Astute (have you seen how much originals cost  and they're a pita to get right too)

5. SRB Ball Diff (just in case)

6. Novak 55 motor (future crawler project maybe)

7. Best of all my "Igified" Technigold turned up. After a few days in the Igbandy massage parlour this is what I got back: "I've rebuilt your technigold. Brushes were in very good condition :) Recut the armature, zapped the motor magnets, reoiled the bearings. Run in at 3 volts then 5 volts, then ran at 8 volts to determine of load power and RPM. The RPM has increased by 1400, and power draw is up by 0.5amps. All in all, turned out nice again!"

You can say that again. Kudos to Igbandy.

Very happy with the posty today.

Yes, the windows have little pins that go into those holes on the window frames. I glued mine from inside. I'm guessing the 'pegs' on the windows are simply melted in place when they make them for the toys in China...

My roof rack was from RCModelex, and included black hex screws/nuts. I'd guess you could use some 2mm screws and nuts kind of like the ones on Sand Scorcher wheels. OR you could order some black hex ones. There is a good picture of one in my LR build thread. 3rd photo down in this post you can see how mine is attached. - http://www.tamiyaclu...38

Also you can see the inside attachments I did in the 5th photo down in this post, both the glue on windows, and the nuts for the roof rack bolts. - http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=66638&st=25#entry457598

Yes, there are no instructions with this kit. You have to pretty much figure it out on your own. Or ask on TC. :P

But all this info would be best served in a..... wait for it..... <chanting> *Build thread!* *Build thread!* *Build thread!*
