A quick 60 second glance says..bodyshell not too bad - decent for a runner

peeling paint on the wing

Incorrect rear wing mounts

Wheels n tyres incorrect and fit for the bin (I wasn't bothered about this - got white LW wheels and hybrid spikes waiting)

red gearbox underside on front gearbox - who knows whats waiting inside !

wishbones seen better days - nothing other than genuine running wear and will be replaced

Got hicap re-res to go on but original shocks look / feel fine

Decent ESC and fast Reedy motor

2 items today, the Rough Rider decals for my Hornet/RR build and an Ansmann AS20 waterproof ESC for my brother so he can ditch his useless TEU-104 and hopefully finish a full day of bashing with me for once without his car going fizz-BANG!

Well after 10 minutes starting to strip it down..

wheels n tyres aren't actually that bad (HPI rims, Schumacher tyres) so will find use elsewhere at some point. Shell looks to be painted with brush paints, and given some is flaking shouldn't be too difficult to get the rest off) That is about the only good news..

universals shafts missing (just Manta Ray dog bones instead)

various bent /stripped head screws holding it all together

bottom chassis plate has more than a few marks (maybe can rescue with new lacquering)

Undercowl goosed

battery retainers

wing mount missing

Given the state of the screws and bolts I dread to think what lies in the gearboxes

Might have been cheaper to start from new parts by the time i rectify this one

Got some big bore shocks today.

Full set of 100mm alloy adjustable coil over shocks from asiatrees . 7 days from order to delivery . Not bad at all considering the distance from HK to UK . These are branded as ROADTECH . Never heard of them but they look to be quality .

at least the cylinders will be slightly bigger capacity than the previous ones, the Ansmann shocks do appear to be a bit too small in diameter which must reduce the oil volume.

Not sure yet?, thought maybe for a drivers head but I think I will have to step down the voltage, I didn't realise it was so small!!!, I didn't even know they made them that size!.
