I had been on the lookout for a comm lathe for a while as these go for really cheap on eBay. Pretty excited as I always enjoyed old technology and the complexity and attention to detail of a bygone era.

Now let's find a mechanical speed control!

There was one Marui car that I did not have. The Land Cruiser in 7.2V. It arrived today. There is a lot of work but this is going to make it... And there was with it another bodyshell. That my daughter will get for her Super Wheelie (she loves the Super Wheelies :-) ). Lot of work on both, and some missing parts, but I know this is something I can definitely manage... But I can already say that the Marui crew is complete :-)

Counting the standard ADSPEC (no box, sadly) and ADSPEC+ I picked up previously, I have enough goodies now for the following planned builds:

  • (1) ADSPEC w/ P-100F for Avante (2011) running DYNATECH 01R 19T
  • (1) ADSPEC+ Plus w/ P-160F for Egress (2013) running DYNATECH 02H 13T
  • (1) ADSPEC+ Plus w/ P-160F for Top Force running TRF Tuned 12T
  • (1) ADSPEC+ Plus w/ P-160F for Dyna Storm running Pink ACTO-POWER 2WD 14T

Two models will need to share a Tx, which I'm fine with.

That sounds amazing mate. The TRF Tuned 12T going in the Top Force, is that the Acto Power silver ribbed can one with the blue top - Tamiya 49567? If so, I have a lightly used one for my Dyna Storm shelfer, not putting that in my runner, but ould be interested to hear how well it runs for sure though👍

Yep, that's the one (see my display motor below). I've got at least one runner motor now for all the packaged ones in my collection, and can't wait to experience each motor.

The Exceedrc/HSP Backwash nitro buggy I ordered from china, should be here in my hands either tomorrow or the next day, it's that close. All the way from China, killer deal and not bad time either despite being slowed down by the holidays.

Managed to source a NOS, unopened blister pack for my Madcap NOS build I've been piecing together for a couple of years now. Also grabbed, the 3 original screw bags I didn't have (already got the D bag), front tyres and the A parts. I had already sourced all the A, B, C hardware new, but not bagged/unopened, so now the other bags can be used on the sister build of the Saint Dragon👍👍

On Friday my ebay Fox purchase arrived and I have decided to do a few subtle mods to it and use as a runner, including retaining the front stabiliser. My original Fox can then be left standard and have an easy life.

A well-kept Super Hornet, complete with MSC and all of the old electronics. What's a good shock oil weight for one of these?

Looking gorgeous. I'm running #100 all round on my Grasshornet (GH1 with Hornet rear suspension and GH2 front arms with CVA all round). The front is light and the rear does not do so much,  so my filosophy is as soft as possible.

Some really impressive stuff here guys, do you mind sharing what the DF-03MS cost @GToddC5?

Nothing that exciting for me lately, but these arrived yesterday via @svenb and courtesy of @Mokei Kagaku

Reinforced grey plastics to go on my TL-01LA project car. Really appreciate the help guys! Hopefully get this project back on the bench soon - I just need to decide which dampers I'm going to use

I don't mind at all, but I haven't been a member here very long and not sure what proper forum etiquette is regarding numbers, so I'll  send you a PM.

Waited a month but it is finally here and not damaged, all the way from china!  It has the body wrap I wanted, seems to be intact and not broken. On first inspection I see the edges of the body have to be smoothed out, they didn't quite finish the wrap on the edges. Very well, no big deal. I know this isn't a Kyosho, Soo... I'm good with some stuff I'll have to fix to my liking...I mean it's part of the hobby.

Way smaller than my 1/8th inferno and it has a tiny nitro motor, super cool. I want to make you all a video of this later, but for now....it's here and directly out of the box like 20 minutes ago

Edit!.....  When I said the body edges weren't smooth I was wrong....the clear plastic is still on the body and not peeled off...that's all it was...body is perfect ... Man I feel like a kid right now lol

Got this little lot for next to nothing all the motors are almost perfect other than a bit dust and definitely nothing a good clean won’t solve:D not sure if the two esc’s are working but to be honest I’m not really bothered because the older one is just going in my RC10 for display the Schumacher ultra stock is going in my pro cat so I can take the yokomo pro-stock out of that and put it in my yokomo dog fighter…….eventually?

This cool little 1/14 Lighting Hawk showed up today! It can run simply on 4 AA batteries, or you can us an M-size LF1100. This model was only available as factory built with radio gear included/installed. This particular purchase came with an extra body and decals for it's brother, the 1/14 Aero Avante. Since I have one of those as a NIB kit to build, I think I'll paint this extra body up as an Aero Avante Black edition. There's even wheel adapters included to fit M Chassis wheels/tires. And, finally a reason to fit a 370 Sport or Torque Tuned motor into something, lol.
