How do the dampers compare to Tamiya's?

i dont know yet, bought them to try them out. but i read a few reviews beforehand and they should be quality parts. i think this set is mainly for RWD drift cars, as the pistons have 12 holes for the front and 16 for the rear.

The Durga I ordered late one night from EBay has arrived. A really quick delivery considering the distance and value. I’m very pleased with this. Yet again Drunk Me has shown himself to have excellent decision making abilities!

To top off the whole day, Elsie got herself a new box. Everybody’s a winner!

The postman brought... another Turbo Optima built up as a Javelin. Why, oh why, I hear you ask. Maybe because it is like a black twin of my other white-cage Javelin?

The car was built but never run. Apart from the additional Turbo body, it also comes with some carbon parts.

Is it a trick of the light or does that Javelin have a gold bonnet and roof cover??

Postman brought a motor and center gear for my future budget build.
I have a spare ESC, so this is a cheap nitro to brushless conversion. ^_^

Local library had surplus books for sale, ended up with 21 Starwars comics for 5 euros.

The postman brought me an assortment box with drawers. I hesitated for a long time but now that I have it I am very happy with it. 🙂

You are correct! The alloy parts have been matched to the gold parts of the chassis.

This just arrived.  Some stiffer dampers for the Scania rally truck, although they might not have as much travel as the MST ones on their now - will have to see if they'll be any good.  Will be much stiffer and a little reduction in travel won't be a bad thing on this truck.

Carbon rear shock tower for the Cougar Classic.  I wasn't going to bother but I added a carbon front tower to bulk out an order from Modelsport to get free postage, but they didn't have the rear tower in stock, so I ordered it from Wheelspin, and then added some more stuff to bulk out the postage.  Because that makes total sense, right..?

Also M05 RA uprights from some random Ebay seller to upgrade the M03 race car.  M05 and M05 ver2 parts are legal on the M03, hopefully RA parts are too.  The rules don't specifically say I can't use them...  (Actually I'm sure I have some M05 front hubs around here somewhere, I just can't find them).

Sounds about right to me.

Other order arrived from Modelsport.  I've spent too much this month already, but after shredding the transmission in my Cougar Classic after a grand total of 5 metres of running since new, I decided to spend some of my redundancy cash on the upgraded transmission.  Should reliably run the 10 turn double I bought for it.  To bulk out the order I also purchased the carbon front shock tower and some alloy eccentric adjusters, as the plastic ones are seriously hard to use.

Also this Fastrax servo horn for an Arrma.  I don't own an Arrma, but apparently these are a good fit in the M03, which takes that specifically double-sided servo horn which is almost impossible to find a better option for.  Well, now we have one!  Hopefully that will help with my vague steering.

Today I got the Team Gelo and HPI Porsche stickers from MCI. The color on the side markers are off as is the looks of the headlamps. The ones that came with the L&L shell are better,  but way less good than the ones I got together with the HPI shell last year. But what else to do when L&L does not inkludert Windows surroundings and I am not keen on all the Martini stickery. Team Gelo it is for Endurance Postal Racing (and clubbing).

In an effort to revisit previous builds as space is getting limited for new kits I took up a discount offer from a seller for a SRB aluminium chassis & nerf bar upgrade,

Shhh, don't tell anyone: the motor is intended for the XM-01 Pro, which will hopefully be in stores soon.

I'm in Germany, so no hassle with customs.

I think we can count ourself very lucky that we have two of the best retailers for Tamiya parts (Tamico and Seidel) here in Germany.

Definitely. Tamico are fantastic. Pre-Brexit is was superb. Now it's a drawn out hassle. Still use them though 👍

This is what arrived but it wasn't what I ordered.

3_bf598857-1c70-4902-aa25-42fae36699c5_6

It's Saturday so I'll have to wait till Monday to contact them.  Really frustrating!

UPDATE: I spoke to customer support last evening (Sunday), they have provided a return label and I've delivered the package to USPS this morning and forwarded the tracking number.  Now, I'm waiting for an email from FMS or their warehouse in FLA.  Hopefully, they will express-ship my order today.

UPDATE: Received a notice this morning from FedEX that my order is scheduled for delivery tomorrow (Wednesday).  I'll post a photo when it arrives.
