DF03 dampers have been recommend recently for the Blitzer chassis, not sure that helps!

I think they were recommended to get the Yeah Racing Buggy shocks up to an acceptable performance level by replacing the Yeah -way to hard- springs and the Yeah -way to leaky- seals with the DF03 damper ones, will see if they fit when I get to install the Yeah shocks on a car.

It took me the better part of 2 years, but I finally found a set of OG Hotshot stickers at a price that didn't make me need to drink before ordering.

Also had a couple of good auction scores... A DF03RA roller that appears undriven and nestled upon a box containing 90% of an XV01...

Also a NIB DF03Ra...

Which just happened to have the elusive DF03 Slipper Clutch (53925) option in the box as well.  Sweet!

Delivered today, and will be my next build. Really enjoyed building the TRF version in the past, but also I’ve always liked the look of this tuned version, so I’m glad to have found one. Comes complete with a Type R motor and some nice upgrade parts.

Whilst addictively searching for the Castrol Supra GT on the TA02W Chassis, part number 58170, this one always came up annoyingly when I searched “Tamiya Supra” across all the usual auction houses. I never considered it, or knew much about it. I did however know its “value” or at least what people were paying for it. However since I did eventually get hold of the Castrol Supra #58170, which for me is the best looking touring car Tamiya ever made, Id stopped seeing this….. however, one popped up NIB for considerably less than I saw them selling for at the start of the year, which confirms my feelings the “vintage” market is dropping which isnt a bad thing unless youre selling up….

Here it is Tamiya Blitz Supra GrN. #58137 It might actually be my oldest Tamiya Touring car, released in May 1994.  Or maybe one of my Cosworths is

Not today, but yesterday, and I did not find time to post about it...

I got my original 44B Hilux body back from Loisirs Creations RC with two additional bodies mainly targeted for my  44B Hiliux runner, and as well, a nice Manx TT 1/8 buggy I'll have to prepare for one of the next events... The setup is quite basic and very inspired from late seventy rc designs. Spring board on the front, springs at the rear, with a belt setup... I'll have to make a specific thread on this car, as it is a very simple way to make a fun car...

The decal sheets also have arrived! A neighbor picked up the package to keep it safe, he just gave it to me what a nice surprise.

As many of us know, when dealing with MCI it can be hit or miss.

I feel it's safe to say this time it's a massive hit. I am over the moon with this!

Last bits for a TA07 rebuild that I bought second hand, with added hopups. Already have alu suspension mounts, alloy servo mounts, TRF steering bridge/arms. Also got carbon reinforced A and K parts, a carbon rear stiffener and carbon damper stays.

Not brought by the postman but picked this up at a local second hand market last weekend. Couldn't resist the idea of fitting it with modern electronics, just to have a bit of fun . Unless it would turn out to be super rare and valuable; which I very much doubt :D

The transmitter (with a push button for throttle "control") takes a 9V block battery, the car also + 4 AA batteries!

But it has real Good Year's :D

You opted for the high gloss finish? These seem much more "shiny" than mine.

I originally selected the "mirror gold finish" (for a whopping 50% increase on price), but the  next day I changed my mind about it, fearing that it might end up too shiny.

I therefore contacted Nat at MCI and asked if he could revert the mirror gold to the simple "metallic gold" in the normal price range (same exact decal sheet that I got for my RC10 JPS). He agreed no problem and even issued me a refund right away for the extra cost of the mirror gold.

Next thing I know, I received these beautiful decals. They are no doubt shinier than the ones on my RC10 (I compared the decal sheets side by side, having plenty of leftovers from the old one), but not as shiny as I'd expect mirror gold to be.

All this blah blah just to say, I don't know whether I am looking at the new metallic gold or if MCI has just printed them in the mirror gold finish as a mistake, fluke or freelance decision.

Either way, I lucked out as they are gorgeous, far better than anything I got from that company in the past. They look exactly like the gold of the aluminum parts, couldn't have asked for more.

I'd like to take it as a good omen for this project 😅

That's certainly not in my case, especially the wheels are way of so they might end up on another buggy.

I also have two jps sheets but not the custom colour turbo Optima one you have.

I added the custom Optima sheet last minute, with the intention of using a bit of both.

I think the regular gold JPS decals are going to look just fine. On my gold pan RC10 their color is way off compared to the aluminum of the chassis/shocks, but that seems to be easy on the eyes nevertheless.

What wheels are these, if I may ask? I ordered mine from Pargustore and am now waiting for the delivery hoping, finger crossed, that they will be the same gold. They didn't come cheap, so a wrong shade would be quite the bummer. I messaged the seller before buying and he said they would be "Kyosho gold", so now I can't but hope for the best 😄

What wheels

I'll have to check if I can find the exact name. Normally they're cheap but they came from a UK shop so they got rather brexit expensive and I needed a willing tc member as the shop (JCRacing or something IIRC) wouldn't ship outside UK...

2 Austar radio sets, typically battered from my local Evri delivery girl but I’ll forgive her cos she’s a looker 🤪

Name me a better and cheaper radio set than these (or the GoolRC equivalents) and I’ll eat my new TD4!
