The "Postman Brought Me" Thread

Recommended Posts

Glad it arrived safe and sound @Jason1145 I think its a stunning model but I was just never going to get to use it. I cant take credit for the build as I bought it like that, I agree the attention to detail was a nice touch. I hope you get a lot more use out of it than me, sorry about the dust! Having some work done in the house haha

Being as @Jason1145 bought my Astute I used the funds for this!

It was the only one I could find in stock in the Uk and it arrived within 36 hours of despatch from Inside Line Model’s who I personally had never heard of before but 10/10 for everything!

I’m planning to lol, but these FTX remounted tyres have a thicker centre so less axle threads protrude… see the wheel nut just fits the TD4… it’s even less on the TD2 as it has alloy hex’s ( another bonus) which must be a bit thicker.

So some low profile M4 lock nuts are on order for safety’s sake.. then those fenders are in trouble! ( the TD2 front fenders do actually rub these slightly taller FTX street tyres so they will be getting removed one way or another 😂).

Another one....and something a little different for me as I usually go for off-road buggies, Monster Trucks, etc.

Mainly M chassis supplies of a circular nature for RbP, plus a couple of TT02 sprues, it was so nice to be able to get all of it from one place for a change. I normally try and stick to local but RC Jaz it had to be this time…

RbP?
As a Tamiya holic, I seem to own a lot of spare wheels and tyres, I have also recently noticed this now extends into shocks and motors now 😂

Eventually it'll be a complete car, if you continue like this. :D

Some people say the reason for his attic conversion is so there will be more headroom over the aforementioned beds so his stash seems less obvious to the casual observer......

Hardly an rc but fuel to the inspiration fire.. Being a dyslexic psycho 😂 I need a subject I’m REALLY interested in, in order to follow through. These will do nicely.

Love it @technics. There was an RS200 at the Ford dealer at which my Dad got his car serviced. I loved it. Had no idea what it was (the internet wasn't a thing and I only got into rallying after Group B was banned).

You are just at the right time. Ford have announced some 'continuation' models - will yours count?!!

@svenb at first glance it’s a top recommendation. loads of never seen disassembled photos, packed with info. Rather thick book. Will be an amazing read I think. As a 3d puzzle brain exercise I am planning to build a rs200 in 3d from reference photos so this will be well used (  working on a f40 now. Did a vw bug, and Series 2 LR previously ) :)

@Badcrumble those will be insane I’m sure. In a perfect world I would own one of the following a Listerbell Stratos, RS200, Alfaholics Alfa or a aircooled singer 😁

I used to have a 97 non-turbo Impreza Sport. Pretty sure this is a close as I'm going to get.

Now I just have to figure out how to make Reddish Blue. If you know,  you know.

This delivery came in a few days ago but work has been so busy I’ve only just opened it. I only really needed the masking tape and bearings but I’ve always wanted a 1:1 GT4 and we’ll, you’ve got to make the delivery charge worth it, right?
