Postie dropped this off today a completely unused still in box in perfect condition I had to have it because it was my first nitro basher back in the early days of the millennium I went to my then local rc hobby shop to get the hpi savage 21 and the owner said if you can wait a few weeks hpi are bringing a new savage out called the savage 25 so I did and I used it to destruction (because that’s what hpi encouraged you to do) so again it’s pure nostalgia remembering those warm weekend nights over the park blasting it around:wub:

Oh, I remember those "flame-wars" between the Savage-Owners and the T/E-Maxx-Owners back in that time. Somewhere I should have a pile of E-Maxx parts waiting for their resurrection. The "Maxx" was good as long as you were not trying to tune it. Once started with options parts, there seemed to be no end in sight. Best was to leave that one unaltered.

Yeah fun rivalry if I remember maybe if you were a maxx owner you maybe able to confirm or deny but a friend used to have a maxx 3.3 and the front gearbox housing kept on cracking and drive shafts bending was that a weak point? The early savages used to suffer badly with stripping the spur gears.

Sorry, I guess Maxx 3.3 was a nitro? My "gang" and me never ran any nitro models. I tried one once (around 2000 with a Kyosho 1/9 GP with CCVT transmission) and I skipped the topic "nitro" quite fast.

image.jpeg Not strictly the postman, as I picked it up on Friday from SC Models. Also had a look at the DT04. Just my Mini pre-order to wait for now.

i had the original t-maxx pro .15 and converted it to the 2.5 and the only time anything cracked or bect on the frnt was when i stoved it into a butter at w.o.t apart from that noting really went wrong on it

Just waiting on a couple of small parts before I can begin. But, after a first look in the manual and box I think Tamiya is onto a winner with this.

Received a Bush Devil yesterday.

Wp9AcV0l.jpg

In short, it was my dream car when I was 10 or 11 years old. Put some money aside, a few years later got a super Blackfoot, which was great, but not with pink rims & decals... Then sold it. Back to the hobby in 2010. Then a Blackfoot Re-re. Cool, but not as cool as the Super Blackfoot or Bush Devil. So, happy I am :)
Bodyshell is dead, but the Landfreeder one is available as far as I know. Need to find some stickers, now. And how cool
53182 Tamiya Racing Slicks could be on those rims.

This thing is tiny!

Not that much bigger than my other mini chargers.

Loaded up and ready for its first charge.

I have an eye on this charger too. It is the Neo+. Can you let me know your experience with this charger? The Neo+ should have the fan issues from the Neo solved as I read somewhere.

Im a massive massive massive Traxxas fan, and the E Maxx was a huge part of my teenage years. Twin motors, switchable 2 speed transmission was so so far ahead of everything else back in the mid 90s! I too spent a huge amount of money on Unlimited Engineering and Great Assembly Alloy parts and eventually a brushless system (running 19 cell NIMH packs!). The nitro Savage .21 came out and it was so much better out the box than the weak E-Maxx (bulkheads) so I got one immediately, but nitro werent really my bag. The Savage Flux HP came out eventually and that was another very important RC for me.

Good evening!

I am not sure, if this is a one way road in rc model lighting, but I thought I give it a try. Especially since I never saw a TLU-02 myself before. And the package was quite reasonably priced with all the additional LED sets.

I have some other options for lighting in my stash too. A "Laneboys" controller and the typical chinese controllers (with permanently flashing direction indicators, flashing even when you don't need them to).

This happened to me the other day (to the US) and I hit Tony up on the chat. He said some shipping costs to certain areas have gone through the roof insane, and he needs to update the shipping tables. Until then, I believe you can shoot him a message and get it dealt with offline, so to speak.

Yeah I’ve been in touch with him. Hopefully it’s not too much of an increase, his store is the best for a lot of parts that are not stocked by other stores, with very reasonable shipping prices.
