evening,

When i bought a RS200 Nitro off ebay, I got a mint unpainted Merc 190e with it. The only company i can find that make a 190e is Tamiya. This may be the case but the strange thing is, is that this Merc shell looks made for the RS200 chassis. fits perfectly.

Any ideas who else made the shell? or do you have pics of the tamiya version? reason i ask is because i need the rear wing for it.

Thanks

Ben

yep its wider than the tamiya ones, Perhaps kyosho as they are the only brand that I can remember with an rs200 shell.

Back in the early 90's kyosho used 250mm wide chassis for scale 1/10 derived from a buggy then where highly effective espically as rally cars.

Tho died out when the conventional 190mm wide tamiya width came in,

It's probably Kyosho. I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a Kyosho Mercedes 190E kit, around the same time as the RS200. One of those Ultima-based on-road cars like the Corvette ZR1.

The body is the Parma Mercedes 190.

In the early 90s long before the touring cars we are all familiar with these days we all ran on road by fitting a touring car shell to a lowered buggy. Mercedes shells were made by Parma, Frewer, Racecraft, Bolink, Sarik and others. It has to be at least 10 years since they were popular and I do know the last one of those Parma Mercedes shells that were available in the UK is now in my workshop.

Kyosho made a Mercedes 190E kit, but it was a 1/20th scale Mini Stocker

Fairly sure traxxas did one in the early 90's too. Looks very familiar. It was on their 2wd touring car chassis, and looked about 1/9 or bigger scale.
