Old School R30

Hi Gents,

I just finish the Nissian Skyline R30 I bought from Bakaguyjean. Heh, this body is such fun to do! This reminded my of the old Japanese cop show "Seibu Keisatsu". I decided to go with the classic color this time. I added the intercooler, replace sticker chrom strips with Stazstix chrome. Rig all the light buckets.

Yes but im out of batterly lol. I also need 2 more pairs of lights to light up all the lights. I'm still waiting for the TUL02 lol.

By the way, My apologies, but what is the name of your store? You price is so good I think everyone here should know about it!

NOTE: I think the ad photo for this body on your catalog does NOT do justice on how becautiful this body kit is. The actual car body looks great and thicker than HPI body. However, the decals included with this kit can be imporved.

Yes I built the body within 2 days. About 3 hours each night after work.

I was doing reserach on this R30... I almost went with the Seibu Kesatsu version. Then I realise I need the bonnet scoop. Oh well, there always another body to paint

There are two versions of the Seibu Kesatsu, I think they are RS-1 and RS-2,and also the 240Z that is really pretty strange but its there if you want to try something VERY different.

Now Chevron might be a different story, but if i can come up with one that would be great. But i havent had much luck with Chevron recently.

Like you said in your email, there are just so many nice bodies out there... I still have not yet build my Castol and Repsol celica yet! The list go on and on!

I hope the Gentleman at Chevron will re-release some of the oldies. I'm also looking forward to build a Kawada GT2000. I had one but my frined's monster truck ran over it 10 years ago lol.... I end up using it as a basher.

I plan to do all the yokomo D1 bodies (IMHO yokomo bodies are not very good) but I still like the drifting cars they offer. I also plan to do an Omiya R34 Police cruiser. Not to mention the Skyline twin sisters from ABC hobby. Sigh~ I'm so focus on painting right now I dont even get much RC playing time.

Be careful witheth D1 idea as there are some other bodies out there such as the Speedway Pal Yukes AE86.

But yes there are so many nice bodies out there, The Tamiya bodies are the easiest to get and look the best,but as you see with the R30 who else makes one.

Im kinda of luck as i have a hugh stack of Japanese RC magazines from about 20 years back so i can see what was out there for touring cars/Drift/M-chassis.

On a different note i got some space cars today!!!!!!

There are just a little different, And way over priced. But yet again something different.

Yes I have seen those anime space car before. They are very cool... I have so many body I need to get from Chevron (not to mention Tamiya) its just matter of priority lol... I guess the reason I buy so many car bodies is because this way I can fantasize like I have couple dozen chassis lol.

I want to get some gold mesh wheels. I don't care what brand as long as they are nice like the one similar in the first picture. Anyone can recommand me a good set? I appreciated!

What about the Tamiya 2-piece wheels with the gold mesh middles and the chrome rims? i think they came with the TA02W 300ZX kit.
