Rcmc ?

Hi all

When I was last into Tamiya cars I used to get a magazine called RCMC. Does anyone know if its still out there ?

I have some RCMC stickers on my old transmitter that Im using with my new TT-01 racing baby !!

I could be wrong but I think that magazine went belly up or was renamed

Shame.....It had loads of Touring and Racing car stuff in it. It was realy good....

Radio Control Model Cars. All my old (90's) race shells have these decals, together with one of their rivals (who were they, the shells are in the loft and it's rather cold up there so I'll pass on looking!!!). It was always a good way to make the race report pages of those mags, a cheap trick maybe. I don't recall their disappearance but they did seem fatter, with more race reports than the current offerings, but that no doubt reflects the number of significant races / month and the number of us out there buying them at the time (but there's a thread elsewhere covering that!). Radio Control Model Cars stopped in 1997, due to lack of sales. For the last couple of years it went downhill and it was was put together quite lazily. Track tests consisted of just assembling the kit, quite often not even going as far as putting radio gear in the car and running it. The rest of it was just padded out with race reports and press releases, so great if you were an active nationals racer not much use for the rest of us. Radio Race Car was a much better magazine with better reviews and proper articles, which meant the demise of Radio Control Model Cars. They did try bringing an r/c car magazine back, it was called Model Cars Plus and was more Max Power/Loaded style, with full size motor show pictures, video games and pictures of girls with the cars. It lasted 5 or 6 issues.

They should try it again... cos i like girls now!! (too busy with models then, and according to my mates at skool "girls smell"!!)
